Harvesting my NL?

I am 5 weeks into flowering my Northern Lights at the moment and the buds on one of my plants are already powdered with crystals and some of the pistils are turning amber.I realise that this is most likely due to touching them so i'm keeping an eye on the trichomes.

What i need to know is how long after they start getting cloudy do you normally have till harvest time. I want to know this so that i can start flushing. Most seed banks that sell NL differ in how long it takes in flowering, some say 6-8 week and some say 8-10. The majority however are around the eight week mark and because i vegged for so long and the had already preflowered could i be looking at a shorter flower time meaning that they could be ready within 2 weeks.

If any one has grown NL before it would be great to hear their opinions!

I have grown a lot of NL plants and I find they are done at around 55 to 65 days. Some plants will have cloudy trichs at 35 days, but they have a lot of growing left to do. NL will lose their pistils before they have finished so if the pistils are nice and healthy they have a few weeks....

what vendor did you get your NL from? You're right, different breeders might make for different flower times. I'm currently growing NL from Female Seeds and they are 4 weeks 4 days. Female Seeds says 55-60 days. I'd go about 60 days and check the trichomes with a pocket microscope, when the most % of trichs are cloudy it's at it's full potential.
hope that helps

I am just finishing joey weeds northern lights. I had 3 females and each seemed different, One I havested at day 52, another at day 57 and another i am still waiting on. The others were covered in crystals and all the pistils had turned brown. I harvested each at 90 percent cloudy and 10 percent amber.

Most of ye seem to harvest around 55 days so i'm another 3 weeks off my harvest probably which is roughly what i wanted and was hoping for.

I'm going to keep an eye on them but i just wanted to have rough idea as when the critical time to be wathcing was. Thanks!

Another question for those who grew NL, roughly how much can you expect the buds to grow in the next three weeks will the grow half as big again or will they double in size? Just curious, and i know every plant is different.
