I read through the harvesting guide, and did exactly what was recommended.
Examined and identified 5 of the 10 plants ready using a 45x scope.
Since I had already been flushing for 2 weeks, I did a good 2 stage flush, and an hour before the next day cycle I pulled the 5 out, wet trimmed, then hung on a string in the corner of the grow room.
Turned the dehumidifier down to 35% and let them dry for a few days and then the remaining living plants went into shock.
Pulled the buds down, moved them to a spare bedroom and was getting them ready for the 1 gallon glass jars for curing, and noticed they were dried to hell.
Now I have to figure out a way to add moisture the buds.
Also, as mentioned, the remaining plants went into total shock.
The humidity never got down below 40%, but reset to 50 anyway.
I did a full water, and after 2 days they perked back up.
Now that they are back on, the tricomes are starting to change again, but the development was definitely stopped for at least 3 days.
The only difference to the nutrients was I got some Terpinator and used with Mills A, B, C4, and PK throughout flowering.
I did get some awesome results, but the entire change schedule was much longer than without.
I have 2 questions;
1) Has anyone else used Terpinator and noticed altered tricom development?
2) What's the best way to return moisture to the over dried buds, and will that even make a difference in the cure?
I expected the dry to take a week, and to then cure for another 1 - 2 weeks.
While the buds look awesome, they definitely do not smoke like they look. I'm kinda scared I just wasted close to 2 lbs dry.
OK, 3 questions, I see the plants mature at different rates, and am turning them 2 times a day trying to get even tricomes.
Short of that, I may need to take one or 2 branches at a time.
If I do that, will the remaining plant go into shock and stop maturing?
