Harvest Question

I'd like some input from some of you folks on havesting. My situation is as follows, extremely remote location, virtually care free system (4 trips to plot a season start to finish.) The strain is unknown however it is local outdoor and I have no dobut in the quality. Long storey short - Last visit was in the 2nd week of Aug. The tallest were 6 ft + . Keep in mind this is in Nor Eastern Ont. The visit before that one was 6 wks b4, So these things are drough resistant. They were planted May 8 and were 10" tall then. The avg last frost for my area is the first wk in may so they were out super early this year.
So in the Aug trip, I removed the gentlemen and was quite easly able to determine the guys from the gals. I'd say they were 1 wk into flowering.

The question is now, I guess it's been a few days shy of 7 wks since the date I guessed they started to flower. I'm planing on only making one last trip, so timing is crutial. The window is narrow as I can only harvest within the next 4 or 5 days or will have to wait another week, about 10 days from today.

Based on your experience what do you guys think?

I'd like to get them with 80/20 clear amber or 50/50 no more then that, so that kinda whats making me think about getting is done soon.

Sounds good, I'll just wait it out. I wasn't sure if 8.5 or 9 would be too long. What is also messing me up is that last year (diff strain) finished the 1st week in September.

Do you have any more info as to wether it is an indica or sativa dominant strain? Most of the local strains i have met (ottawa valley) tend to mature 3-4 week of september however this year i am finding things are ripening a little slower than expected and expect most will need another 7-10 days past normal ripening time. Seeing that you had to pull a male earlier i assume you grew from seed was it localy grown bagseed or somthing from a buddy if it's the latter they should be able to give you some more insight into it's maturation requirments. otherwise i would give it a bit more time, judging from your last frost date you are in a warmer spot than i am so temps should not be an issue.

We did have a bit of a cold snap a few weeks back which might have slowed them down a bit. They are from a friend who grow more volume then me, but I'm unsure about the traits. I do have a pic

2nd week in Aug. Also i might have been off when I guessed the date the start of flowering. enjoy..

look to be mostly indica by those pics. I would give them some more time i have about 10 strains going this year and only a couple like Early Riser, Mighty Mite, and some of my own crosses have finished most of the others are still needing between 2-4 weeks (yes those ones that need 4 weeks are doomed i know) so i think a little more time would help as they can really plump up in the last couple weeks. I am a tan envious of a location that needs that few visits i must have hiked a few hundred km this year making sure mine got enough water. Hope your harvest goes off well.

So now the plan is to shoot for the first few days in October.
This will be 60 days flowering. I used to hike aswell and really walking the distance to get away from everything is a must especially when you are growing huge tall plants, but it's all the water that the real pain. Luckly this location is boat access only. Which means water is always near by.

10 Strains wow, quite a variety.
