looking into getting some of these ballasts,
hoping some IC'r has hands on exp. with em.
any other pros-cons.
also i assume i'll need a 240v timer to run these?
im sure its chinese knock off ballast at that cheap. heavy as hell id say. why not get a quality mag thats multitap and run it at whatever voltage 120/208/240/480 u like? if price is a factor, id guess it is cheap enough. id hate to buy it and be stuck at 240 volts though.
sorry... whats a multi tap?
the only thing i don't like about these is like you say, i'm stuck at 220v
i'll have to get 220 timers etc etc.
money is becoming a factor right now. after the 1st run i can start to upgrade
when theres more funds
multitap is the ability to run the ballast at multivoltages. if you look in a ballast box you will see multiple wires withe different voltages on the coil usually marked very small on the wire itself. f that having to be stuck at 220 - i like my 110 since i aint big time anyway. very common outlet in any house. anyway, that ballast looks like its made for 20 year olds with muscles that can lift it. its cheap cause its a chinese ballast in there anyway. get magnetek or univeral usually found in the ss 1
