the veg time was 29 days in 5x5x5 pots under 24hrs floro 432watt t-5. then trans-planted and flipped to 12/12 :skunk11 63 days, and the skumwh4xpfunk for 75 days.
I like to chop the plants 2-3 hours after the lights come on, because my belief is that this is when they are at the most potent part of their 12 hours of light.

Soil mix. 1part = 6inch pot or ?half gallon?

3 part--------Earthgrow Potting soil
3 part--------Perlite
1 1/2part-----Earthworm Castings or ?Cow?
1part---------hydro clay pellets

then add: in Tablespoons
2Tbsp - Bone Meal, Blood Meal, Hydrated/agriculture Lime

then add: in teaspoons
1teasp---Bat Guano, Epsom Salt

then mix: Repeat.

Sounds to me like you're drying your buds too much before curing in jars (you are curing in jars right?).

They don't need to be bone dry when they go in, just crispy on the outside and when the stems snap put them straight into the jars.
Your buds should become moist once they've been sealed up for a few hours as it brings the moisture out from the middle of the buds and distributes it back through your them...you should notice this the first time you open the jar.

Open the jars for around 20-30 mins every day for around 2 weeks then you can keep them sealed.

Good luck

thanks for the posts.

as for the question.

I like to water the plants 2 days before harvest, then also chop them 2-3 hours after the lights turn on. when harvested i like to trim up much of the leaves that are unwanted and use them for hash. next, I hang them in a closet with a fan to circulate air ,to prevent mold ,for about 2-5 days depending on size on the plant and thickness of the buds. after the hanging/drying process i cut the plants down into smaller buds that will fit into glass jars that seal tight. ( buds must be dry to put in jars, or they will mold/rot) after 2 weeks of opening the jars in the morning for 10 min. and at night for 10 min ( when you wake and bake, and when you toke goodnight). you will be able to smoke herb and no longer plant. however, letting them cure longer in jars is preferred. after 2 weeks though you no longer want to keep opening the jars. try to keep them sealed and stashed away if you intend to save them for months/ a year.

Thats just how i go about curing the buds.

I'm about to do pretty much that same process with some of those exact skunk #1 bitches from above here in the next couple days thanks to Rev. Michael! I had to pull a few samples here and there to make it through to harvest, but even with a quick dry this bud is potent and tasty. Thank Michael! :smoke:
