Harvest early?

BC God Bud from Clone now 55 days into flower
1000 HPS
400 MH
10 Gallon Soil ocean forest mixed happy frog
Full Line of Botanicare
Pro Grow Pro Bloom LK Sweet Cal Mag Hydoplex and clearex to flush and leech salts.

Temps are heating up and I was told this late into flower I could kill the 1k HPS and just use the 400 MH. SO I have been doing this for 2weeks now and feeding only straight water only. I thought it might be time to harvest soon seeing that the trichomes were mostly cloudy and just a few amber and but still a few clear ones as well. I ve been advised that it is no where near done by pics On other forums. I chopped 6 branches today but realized I need to wait. SHould I go back to feeding nutes and go under the 1000 HPS again. Or will it finish fine with such less intensity from the 400 MH and just straight water.

if you have the space and time to let them go another week or 2, then you should definitely take advantage and do that. they will put on a lot more weight if you let them finish, and the trichs are either cloudy or amber, no clear ones!

Nowhere near ready and clear trichomes have the maximum T.H.C content. When they turn amber and brown the T.H.C has degraded in to cbd and cbc/cbn chemicals thats good for a couchlock stone but i harvest mine with milky/clear trichomes that will blow your mind providing a couchlock and a super stone but thats up to you. If it were me i would harvest the top colas and go for a double harvest with them or after harvesting the top colas you will allow more light to the lower buds and then harvest them when they suit your taste.

Yeah, always let your harvest go as long as possible since you want to see good results and sometimes the plants can ramp things up in the final weeks. Not sure why, but it happens like that.

I like to flush in the last few weeks as this makes the plants use up all of the remaining nutes in them, causing them to jump up and get heavy.

Cutting off your harvest should only be done when you absolutely have to. And I really can't think of any reason why you would need to harvest early.

They look good, see if you can get a 30x photographers loupe and check out the trichomes. If they are milky I would harvest.

i dont know who told you to go mh in late flower or why, but you need that 1k hps bulb thru the entire flower cycle. NEVER pull early. Like the others said, get a 30x jewlers loop, real cheap on amazon....and inspect the trichomes wait till you see cloudy and amber colored trics. i would put her under the 1k hps, feed her nutes for a week then flush a week.

If correcting the temps isnt an option your definatly better off letting them go the time needed under the 400. They look nice
