As mentioned above...Happy Father's Day to all dads out there.

I lost my dad over 20 years now...I miss him more now than I ever have.

I am a dad of 5 and love all my kids dearly. Hope they call.

Sorry to hear about your dad.but father of five!!that must be great!!I don't think I'll be blessed like that but it must be great!my father is my best friend and I'll call him today.unfortunately he still has to work today.sigh no rest for the wicked I guess!happy fathers day folks!

yeah, I know the feeling, lost my dad back in '99; losing your father is supposedly the hardest time in a mans life, don't mean to add a downer moment to this thread.

I'd like to impart some words/thoughts from my own experiences. You'll likely outlive your father and you won't want to spend any days thereafter dwelling on differences of each others life's choices and squandered time. I wasted a bunch of years being angry with my dad, no contact w/each other for years etc...

sure I'd like to have some time back with my dad, but I/we were lucky enough that when he passed we had already mended our fences many years before.

Happy Father's Day all, had to work myself but the kids called me as soon as they woke up- lovely feeling
I am lucky to still have my dad around so I will be calling in on him later with some beers and his favourite chocolates.

Happy fathers day to all the fathers out there .. often you are the moral compass to the following generation . A responsibility that does not always make you the favorite person sometimes. but as time passes the wisdom of your guidance becomes more apparent to them and pays dividends later. Miss my dad terribly but his lessons have been passed on to my progeny and now to my grand kids as well.

being a father is by FAR the best thing that has happened in my life. Being a parent has given me such a different perspective on life that I'm really grateful for. Hanging with the family today, so glad Father's Day is in the Summer.......Happy Father's Day!!
