my heart goes out to all of those that lost loved ones. a good friend of mines brother was one of the firefighters that lost their life helping to save people in the tower and to this day she is still completely horrified over this whole mess. regardless of what happened 1000s of INNOCENT people lost their lifes without warning or cause and it disgusts me to think there are people in this world that can justify such a dispicable action.

We arose from the ashes of the towers in the sky,
We're a proud, mighty nation and we hold our heads high!

Back from Ground Zero where we all shed a tear,
We'll show to the world that we won't live in fear.

They tried to destroy us on that fateful day,
September eleventh in our memory will stay.

With flags full unfurled, we'll fight night and day,
To protect and defend our American way!

So united we'll stand for the whole world to see
We're the home of the brave and we all will agree,
United we'll stand in the land of the free!

i get the title. some people have a diff sense of humor in light of terrible situations. i think about 9/11 alot. if it was terrorists they hit us where it hurt. strange they never rebuilt the towers? it is kinda hard to imagine the story as its told by officials.

It's not a sense of humor when you receive a phone call from a family member crying when they can't even speak while being choked up trying to explain you just had your life change and fall apart because you lost a loved one.

The title of this thread should have read 911 Memorial Tribute. Thiers nothing happy about what happened for anyone who was affected.

They are re building. You didn't know? New tower, musuem, memorial etc...

You know, if I was one of the people that died on 9/11, I wouldn't want everyone to be sad remembering me. I would want today to be a happy day for them. When someone dies, don't let their death be the only thing you think about. So, to everyone who lost someone. Remember the good in their life, and try to be happy. It's what I do on the day my nephew died. I make everyone cookies, and we try to have a fun, happy day.

For me, today is a day to reflect and remember those who were taken from us by crazy people. Nothing "happy" about today at all.

Don't take what I said wrong, if you knew someone who died, remember who they were, and try not to be sad. Celebrate their life. Thats all I'm saying.
