Hanna Gro Check

Anyone familiar with this thing?

Just got it, read the manual twice and can't seem to get it to "enter" any mode at all.

Pushing the set/hold buttom as described in the manual only makes the meter go from ppm->ph->ec( I think, it's ec)
Temp is at bottom of screen.
Anyhow, any sort of calibration help would be appreciated.
It's been sitting in it's shipping box for a few months, so, not sure if it broke, by sitting?

You're pushing the wrong button.

Hold the off/mode button to get into calibration screen. Keep holding it past "off" until "CAL" and then release.

Do it from the pH screen to calibration pH. It'll ask for 7.0 1st.
Do it from the PPM screen to calibration TDS. You'll need 1382 solution if on default .5 conversion. You'll want 1500 solution if meter is set to .7 conversion. What it asks for will determine what conversion factor it is currently set at.

Sometimes it is best to reset the previous calibration in order to successfully calibrate. Do this by entering CAL mode.. and then hitting the right button to escape out of the calibration procedure. This will reset the current calibration.. then go through the actual process to calibrate.

PS - don't let that little glass ball (the electrode) dry out. If its dry since it has been sitting hydrate in 7.0 for a bit and then calibrate. If it wont lock to 7.0 once it asks and you put it in that solution then your probe is likely toast.

Wonderful. Thanks much. It's been dry for a while now so that might be what's up.

I'll try tonight and let you know. Thanks for the help!
