Hey all....

I'm in desperate need of some electric guidance!

I have these two fans which came from a air hockey table. I need to wire them up but I'm totally lost.
http://www.x-fan.com/doe/ac/1747.htm is a link for the model

I do believe they have a capacitor (wires going to a little thingy and it looks like a small battery)

I have this power adapter http://www.pcliquidations.com/item.asp?id=3006

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

RAH1747B2-C - 115 VAC
RAH1747B1-C - 230 VAC

Looks like the fans require AC current, not DC current. Assuming you have the 115 VAC version, you should be able to plug it directly to your wall outlet (assuming you live in the US as well).

Btw, the capacitor is probably used as a transient suppressor, I wouldn't worry about that.

thanks for the reply pontiac! so i should just have to wire the fan up to the adapter I have or do I need a different one? Or do I just splice in a plug?

If you have the 115V model, you just splice a normal US plug on the end, and plug it into any standard US outlet.

If it is the 230V model, you need to splice a 240v plug on the end, and have a 240V outlet to plug it into.

NOTE-----> This only applies in the US and Canada.

Wow, you guys are so helpful. You just saved me a bunch of bucks. I was just about ready to say screw it and go get new fans. Now I have two 150 cfms blowin' into my cab!

Now for the next question.....

My box is as follows.....
60Lx24dx48h..inches... It has two 150 watters in it. Along th back 60" wall I have two vents. Would you suggest to have both 150's blowing in and exhausting from the bathroom fan out the top to get rid of the heat from the 150's? It is not an air-tight box, might be soon. What way would you configure the ventilation?

Again, I already cannot thank you guys enough! I'm gonna go spark one, clean the house, and germinate my nirvana mixed pack! Look for me in the soiless indoor tomorrow!

Rock on

How many cfms does your bathroom fan move?

You want to have your extraction fan pulling slightly more air than your intake fan, to maintain negative pressure in your box, and avoid smell leakage.

Also, you need to have some means of eliminating your exhaust odor, especially if you are going to flower in the same box.
