Looking like could be slugs, the way they are eating the stems. Might want to try some copper wire around the base of the plants just in case.

there are many threads on pre-flowers, i have written one as well.


i do not see any damage. all i see is the stem getting older. stems turn from soft green to a woody brown color. slugs would eat the leaves, and mice would eat them down to the media.

have you seen any little green inchworms ?

Take some liquid dish soap & a pack of tobacco for rolling cigs. put it in a sauce pan of simmering water for 20 min. strain out the gunk & mist on your plant. If its bugs that'll stop them.

If it is mice you could just surround the plant with glue traps.
