Guide to taking macro pics?

s there a guide around for how to take good macro pictures of plants with a digital camera? The first few I took don't reflect the color well (yellows and greens run together) and aren't sharp enough.

Should I take pics after the lights go off? If so, should I use the normal incandescent ceiling light or the camera's flash?

Well if your camera has a macro setting on it with a flash I'd use that flash.. it normally will even itself up since its in macro mode.. what camera are you using?

not really much i can tell you. set up into macro mode. snap pictures. If you want closeup closeups, use a magnifier in front of the lens using macro mode, it will allow the lens to adjust even closer. oh and flash doesnt work real well when your close. i partially clover the flash when taking closups. Photoshop is your freind!

it depends what camera you have on the flash/macro mode.. on the d70 that I use the macro flash works great doesn't white out anything... its just a matter of adjusting the settings on the cam.. and like ya said..if the cam don't have the settings photoshop is most deff your friend :D

_dude - if I know what your camera is I'll be able to help alot more : )
