Guess the bug damage?

this is happening on only one of my outdoor plants that's in close (touching) proximity to like 3 more plants. i think it's some kinds of bug maybe, but it could be from foliar feeding in the hot sun? it's like the tissue is dissolved/eaten away and underneath the skeletal veins and whatnot can be seen if i zoom in on the original pic. lemme see...

i don't think it's leaf miners, they leave little thin zigzags all over the leaf i see those on my tomatoes too. i think maybe a caterpillar of some sort or maybe snails. i found a caterpillar on one of my plants a couple weeks ago and killed it and didn't think anything of it. and the damage looks like the pics i see of caterpillar damage on the internet.

but keep the guesses coming. i thought thrips leave glittery shimmering shit on your leaves and the damage they do looks like faint white patches?

caterpillars usually take chomps. that looks more like leaf miner damage or some similar pest. either way some spinosad should do the trick.



thrips is usually an easy spot:
