Guerilla growing in a legal climate

Here comes a newb asking dumb questions so please be gentle with the torches and pitchforks haha.
So I live in Oregon but have nowhere to grow (millitary family so at home or on family land not an option). Family has great land in a legal state but theyre sure the feds will show up and confiscate the land and dishonerably discharge them the second a cannabis seed hits the soil :wallbash: :wallbash: . Completely irrational but im a respectful person. So im left with the guerilla option.
Yes, like a dumbass im considering a not so legal grow in a legal state. But the more I consider it the less stupid it seems (to me). I assume LEO quit the chopper b.s. and are not looking for guerilla cannabis anymore. I couldnt imagine taxpayers being cool with spending that much money when its legal. But I do live in the Irrational States of America so who knows. This combined with isolation (many miles down a closed road in the middle of nowhere then 2 miles through the bush) and fewer than 10 scattered plants I feel as if its almost fool-proof. Im very law abiding having only one ticket in my life which was for possesion of pot in june AFTER it was voted legal but a month BEFORE it was enacted (reduced to $300 but they can still kis my :moon: ) so im nervous to do so.
Has anyone in Colorado or Washington done guerilla grows after recreational legalization? Anyone from those states know or hear of anyone who got busted doing so? And do they still use choppers? Knowing my luck i will be the first to get busted if i do go through haha. Im already probably one of the last few people in the State of Oregon to get a possesion ticket: shakes fist

I live in Oregon. They are still looking in the forest for Mexican gang grows. The cops quit helicopter checking my back yard years ago. I wouldn't plant on BLM or Fed Forest land because they go by different laws and you could end up with a mandatory minimum sentence if caught. It might be a harsh penalty to grow on someone else's private land, but I don't know. I Don't want to be so negative, but better safe than sorry.

Hey nate, having a problem like that in a quasi-legal state is a problem that MANY of us here at icmag wish we had...

I'd say, "Go For It"..

Just pay attention and still be careful...

Dude, you've got heads here growing in the goddamn bible belt (myself included). I hate to be an asshole, but don't be a bitch.

If up to four plants is legal, I don't think they're going to drop down and chop them to be a good Samaritan because they think they were planted by someone other than who owns the land. If it's on their land, they've probably got bigger fish to fry.

Thank you fort rock, Its good to hear from an Oregonian. Public land is difficult to avoid in my neck of the woods =/.

Thanks for the encouragement bud green.

Haha duskray I was waiting for somone from a state with more draconian cannabis laws to say something along those lines. Good point about the private land though.

Ten scattered plants is not enough for their interest. If they were found they would be destroyed. Doubt they would wait around and try to catch you. Too much trouble. They are looking for the big Mex commercial ops.
