Man, I really didn't like that shade. It was damn inefficient, really a waste of money IMHO. I ended up selling it for a loss just to get rid of it. To be honest, I think you would be better served picking up a longer cooltube, one of the ones you can put two bulbs in, if you're dead set on a two lamp shade. If not, just pick up 2 6" air-cooled shades, much better than a Growzilla. Just my
To answer your question It was 4" flanges, not enough air movement to efficiently cool two larger (400w+) bulbs. If you were going to use it for smaller bulbs, it might be able to cool it better. The cords were about 12-15' long I think, it's been a while.
I have a Cool Sun and a Cool Tube, I also have ran Super Sun shades, out of all of them, I like the light spread of the Cool Sun the best. It's also 6" air cooled, another plus. The shade closest is the Cool Sun, the Cool Tube is the other:
guineapig: thanks your always helpfull and sorry to hear about your loss!! I have dog and I love him to death..
Budgod: intresting...I have a light rail im using a Sunlight supply slim hood...im sure I can hook up two of those...I dont like the idea of 4" cooling anyways!!
there is also another part to the growzilla that I dont like...no stores around me stock it so I would have to special order...and I would have to buy adaptors for my Sunlight Sun System 10 sockets... I think im going to get another SS10 1000w and another Super Sun2 6 Inch Air Cool Horizontal Reflector w/Glass Lens which in my book is a good relector and hook them up side byside to my light rail...thanks all! I think my desicion has been made...!!
I got 24sq ft on a light rail and want 2000w! so thats = 83w per sqft optimal...
