Growroom space/lighting - suggestions?

Hey guys,

I'm planning on building a growroom in the garage soon. The space for the grow will be 6' x 8' x 8'. I was originally planning to go 2x600w in there, but have also thought about 1k and one 600w (as funds are a little tight). Will probably end up about 8 decent sized plants , 4 under each light.

Would two 6's be better in my situation/space? If I go 600's should I make the room slightly smaller to compensate?

Yes I would make a curtain and curtain in a 3x6 or max 4x8 area.
If your not worried about heat but only funds then get a couple used 1000 waters and do the 4x8 and you will still get decent penetration for larger plants
You could probably sog a 4x8 with the two 600,s but that would be pushing it. They wouldn't do well with large plants

A 1000w light is nearly twice the light and HEAT as a 600. Depending on funds, you could get a 1000w digital ballast, and be able to dial them back to keep the heat and electrical usage down.
What OG TG said above is great. The 1000s will penetrate more canopy depth and cover a little more floor space too. Good call to section or tent off the individual grow spaces.
how big is a decent sized plant? what system do you plan to grow in..? there are lots of variables as to what you should do.

About 4 footers or less is what im aiming for, nothing too big. 2 gallon coco hempy buckets, hand watered. I hadnt thought about getting a 1000 and dial it back, thanks for the suggestions guys.

the curtain idea sounds good too. one of my friends has a mylar curtain that he runs across the room to trap some of the lighting a bit more, it works very well in his setup.
