Another update -> 70x70 Mars Hydro!

The Mars Hydro tent is a real disaster, the fact that they didn't make a big hole at the bottom to be able to insert an air intake hose is an outrage in my opinion!

Got a light leak, at 12/12 -
I noticed it after 4 days or so.. So we now have flowering day 24 instead of 28.. or so :D

Everything is clean, no hermaphrodites (searched today).. it's good.. iam glad and happy about that!

The hole crew:

What is in the tent? (small reminder):

Last row ->
Savage Hulk F3 (bred by me) incredible fruity smell! Thickest flowers so far.
#4 and #2 - 2 different phenos:

PXL_20241202_231350017.jpg

#2 has an incredibly good stacking in my opinion.
#4 has much more biomass and smells more intense and fruity.
Both Plants in soil (7L or 1,85 Gallons) with Biotabs and compost tea.

So #4 so far the favorite for my F4 selection.
However, I have found some other Plants that are a much more indica...

I still have to think about whether I'm driving 2 lines or which direction I want to go with the F4!
2 lines would be too much, again, who has the space to test them all? I have to many different projects :/

But I can't decide jet!
We will see if #4 will be after the harvest still my favorite!

Lets go to over the other plants in the tent,

Front row, right side =
CBD #1 from ACE - 0,55% THC and 12% CBD

Front row, left side =
Runtz (Clone Only)

Middle, right side =

Saying the tent is a disaster because you didn't do the research is something.
If you desperately need a hole down there, just make one.
Hey!
Its something? Maybe its not a big deal for you, for me it absolutly is!
How should i get air in the tent otherwise? Any other option will bring light in the tent.

I did my research and i saw youtube videos, there is a hole, but just in the bigger tents, not in the small one and i didnt knew that.

Was just offering a simple solution, I only use a tube with hepa filter but every grow situation is different.
The passive air intakes are a joke in my eyes. Waiting for the day when Mars Hydro will sell a light trap for them, made out of plastic for just 99,99

Couple of duct spigot plates should fix the tent. Fix one using the 4 bolt holes. Then the other to the bolts using nuts. Then slice out the main hole. It's cheap kitchen extraction stuff

Hard to see, but top right we see one fixed, after the tent was first gaffer taped. You see it again behind the ladder. You may not want the flange inside also, but it fits, and offers a means to deliver the air more precisely. You could save a couple of euro's and make a board instead. Or even two boards, with a 85mm hole, for 100mm helical duct to screw in. The duct is your light control. So some thin white pvc won't really work.

You want a bit both inside and out, to sandwich the tent. Anything less probably won't work

I'm always apprehensive about cutting tents. My 1.2 x 2.4 homebox was about £450 iirc, but the first to have a hole in the side, for a cleaner duct run then using the top. These things do have a value, expressed in cost, and also having to dispose of them. They also have a value, in terms of their productivity. In all honestly, I cut out a piece, and later taped it back in again, seeing so little change, it didn't matter. If I lost the bit, I would gaffer outside and foil tape inside. This might break up every couple of years, but the cost:benifit ratio is good.

I just did this little nasty. Two hoses through an 'I' slash near the floor. Just a piece of gaffer will fix this, as no material was removed. This is a £100 tent, not meant to move for years. It's worth making it work how we need it to.

That's so cool from you bro, I do appreciate that you wanna help :)

I still need space boosters for my small tent, there isn't one that you can buy for a 70x70 (2.3 x 2.3).

That sucks but I will find a way :D

The problem with the light leak was, that the duct was just like an arrow.. so directly there was light involved into the tent.

Now I bought a really big one, so I can even lay it down almost to the ground, so they get fresh air..

I had a 2 meter one, I have clamped it between the vent.

I think i will buy something like that then its anyway done with the light leeks but its expensiv as fuck.

Because i have a dog, and jeah.. that hair is going everywhere..

I have one of those:
Scroll down, the first picture.
Blue Dog, love this bitch over my life and every human ive ever mad except for my mom.. man this dog..

but u can imagine, this hair.. its getting outa hand sometimes.

Hmm, hairy.
600mm is a standard filter. Then you get halves, and quarters, like 600x150. I would figure your filter supply out, then buy/make your box to suit.
As you want all your air going in through the filter, and non through little gaps around flaps and zips, you need a big filter. Free flowing. Not troublesome.
Do you have an old carbon filter? You could dump the carbon, and just use the body and filter around that. The white stuff. It's cheap to replace, easy to get, and effective for hairs. While offering little air resistance, if you get a big enough one.

The two hats might suit you. First you need just a 4mm bolt through, which a nail could sort out, or the drill. Fix a single corner with that one 4mm bolt. Then you can see where the opposite corner is. You have the plate there, to push a nail/drill through that second corner. Bolt this second hole. If it's already gone wrong, tape up and forget these tiny holes. If it's going well, The last two are impossible to get wrong. Only once you have the 4 x 4mm holes holding the plates, would you cut the big hole. With no chance of cutting too far, unless you knife through the plates. They offer such a good guide to the blade, it should be like once round her rim.

Update!

Its day 58 on these pictures, now its day 61 and i will harvest on sunday.

Dante's Inferno on the front right is perfectly successful for me!
The other ones are a bit overfertilized though :D But they are completely yellow now, so sucked out the nutrients.

Back: Strawberry AKeil (2x)
Middle left = Strawberry AKeil (1x) on the other side La Bomba (doesnt seem to me like a La Bomba tho)
Front left = Dante's Inferno (Clone) and right La Bomba #2.

I heard from Matt that the Compound Dude just does White Label "Seeding". They are supposed to be Gelato Crosses.
With the Strawberry AKeil I see the phenotypes, these are all different Phenos.. But La Bomba? These are other plants

Next run will be 6x Dante's Inferno, I love this genetic.. If the smoke gets good, 6x Dante.
