GrowLab 40 Lighting Help

Sup IC, just got Grow Lab 40 and I need some help in deciding what kind of light I should throw in there. The dimensions are 1'4 x 1'4 x 3'11 tall. Now i have a sun system 400 watt switchable with a built in ballast but i'm not sure if that is an overkill and will be to hot for that amount of space. Any1 ever throw a 400 in this size tent? Or would it be better just to get a 150 or 250 - CK

50 wsf. A 150 would be as large as I would go. A 250 is over 100wsf, the point of diminishing returns. A 400 would be a nightmare to cool. FWIW, the manufacturer recommends CFLs for that tent.

Thanks, ya i was trippin thinking the 400 would even fit in there. Will get some pics up soon prob gonna be a 150 with an OG strain from the LA area.

If I could keep temps in check, and wasn't penny-pinching electric costs, I'd maybe try a 250w in there. I know it's a lot of watts per square foot ... but, idk, I'd still want to give it a try...

Now, for 400w, GL80 is puuurrfect.
