The essence of the appearance of the growth lamp is to act on all plants, simulating sunlight. In an environment lacking sunlight, it can meet the needs of plant photosynthesis, so that plants can grow normally or even better.

According to the test, the growth efficiency and photosynthetic rate of lettuce are increased by more than 20% by using LED growth lamp lighting.

Yes, the most suitable growth environment will be created during each test, and the addition of nutrients is essential, including nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sulfur, magnesium, calcium and some trace elements. The addition of nutrients in hydroponics is more refined.

These are hydroponic sweet peppers, which is expected to grow for about 120 days. We will often test various vegetables, and improve our lights according to the growing trend, growth cycle and final taste of vegetables compared with vegetables grown in normal sunlight.

Application of VG80 in lettuce and mustard

The planting of lettuce and mustard is mainly divided into several steps: seed treatment, sowing, seedling raising, transplanting, and harvesting.
The specific planting steps are as follows:
(1) Seed treatment
For uncoated seeds, soak them in warm water to kill bacteria, put the seeds in hot water at 45°C-50°C, soak the seeds for 20 minutes, then take them out to dry and sow; for coated seeds, they can be sown directly.
(2) Sowing
Mix peat soil and vermiculite at a ratio of 2:1, put it in a 12-hole seedling box, water it to make the humidity of the substrate reach 90%, and then randomly sow 2 seeds in each hole, cover it, and control the ambient temperature at 24°C -26°C, open the cover in time after emergence.
(3) Nursing
During the seedling cultivation process, the nutrient solution with an EC of 1.0mS/cm was poured once, and the light environment was set as follows:

Seedling lamps: VG80
Lamp to pot height (cm): 20
Cultivation light intensity (umol/m2/s): about 220-250
Lighting time (h): 12

(4) Transplanting
Take out the seedlings from the seedling box and transplant them into flower pots. The cultivation medium is peat: vermiculite: perlite = 3:1:1. During the cultivation process, alternate irrigation with nutrient solution (EC1.5mS/cm) and clear water is carried out. When the substrate dries out, water and fertilize once.
The light environment settings are as follows:

Cultivation lamps: VG80
Lamp to pot height (cm): 20
Cultivation light intensity (umol/m2/s): around 220-250
Lighting time (h): 12 hours in the early stage, if heartburn occurs in the later stage, reduce the duration to 10 hours

For the above article, there is one last step, let us complete it.

(5) Harvesting:
It can be harvested from individual leaves or from the whole plant. If it is purple leaf lettuce, it can be promoted by water control before harvesting.

Precautions:
(1) Height adjustment: When the plant is close to the lamp, the lamp can be raised again, 20cm away from the plant canopy.
(2) Prevent heartburn: When heartburn occurs, the light duration can be shortened from 12 hours to 10 hours.
(3) Pruning: Check the roots and trim off yellowed leaves.
(4) Temperature: Lettuce likes cooler temperatures. If placed at higher temperatures, it will grow leggy, become bitter, head and bloom early.
