Growing UNDER a tree.

Hey, will the plants grow (basicly) under a tree? Lets say they get 1-2h of direct sunlight a day. Will they produce any kind of crop? I understand that the situation it is far from optimal, but if one had some spare seeds is it worth trying? So many questions, sorry for that. :p

Thanks a lot.

make hash or edibles. cause your gonna have some leafy ,fluffy buds. i used to have a few spots like that just for hash and edibles.better than no weed.

Like you already know, no it is not optimal, but yes, it will grow. Direct sunlight is not the only thing that comes into play. A lot of the UV and light rays bounce around outdoors and provide your plants with the needed light they need to survive. If their spare no name beans, I'd say pop them and give it a go.

Depends on the amount of light reaching the plant the rest of the day , with some deciduous species the canopy is so dense its nearly dark underneath , some are alive with mites as are many conifers.

Two hours or less is pushing your luck , plants could get lanky with a longer internode , buds may be looser and later , certainly worth a try but dont rely on it.

Males manage better in these conditions , if the native veg is established nettles or similar it should be worth it , if its ferns its probably too dark.
