Growing own beneficial microbes

Could I use a source of microbes, say voodoo juice($65/liter!!!), to innoculate a gallon jug of water and molasses? The microbes would have source of food which would be the molasses, and multiply.

Then I would have an endless supply of cheap, high quality beneficial microbes. Would this work? Anyone have any advice?

Call me cheap but the voodoo juice works wonders on my roots and yields, much better than myco fungi or companion microbial innoculant, but its only draw back is, its so damn expensive!

I think your biggest problem would be contamination from unwanted microbes and controlling the proportions of each.

I would think that as the microbes consume all the "food" in your mix they would begin to die off. Probably best to just stick with the label instructions and use the stuff properly.

that's sounds like a fun and dirty experiement!
But, because nature is what it is.....

I would be careful of mutations within the population; you do not want any harmful bacteria or microorganisms to form.

Besides, if you are using soil I think there will be beneficial bacteria and microorganisms naturally developing in the mix.

Mother Earth; love the biaatch!

Why spend $65 on microbes? They are available in good compost, kelp meal, fish, castings...ect ect. You have the molasses part right. You can also use beer.

Mix 1 of the above with mollasses and water--bubble for 24 hours and WALLAH! compost tea slam full of micro-kiddies.
