Depending on strain and how many days it takes to finish, it could work. How many days do you think you have left in your growing season?
With autos it is best to plant early to take advantage of the longer daylight and warmer weather in early summer.
best of luck and may all your buds be huge

True this! Your yield will decrease if you plant now, but if you have 70 days of fair weather left, you should be able to get something out of them, as long as you select a fast strain.

I'd start normal varieties instead of AF strains at this point of the season cause anything will flower within 30-40 days from now.

Yeah but then wouldn't you need and extra 8-10 weeks of flowering on top of those 30-40days of vegetative growth, until they are mature enough to even start flowering?

anything what you sow from now is "autoflowering" a month veg than starts to flower and finish the same tall as an autoflowering plant... 2 feet tall (50-70 cm... max 1 m).

any strain can finish in 80-90 days with 12/12 from seed.

Why? Even with a strain that finishes flowering in 8 weeks, that's 86-96 days from seed to harvest vs 70 for an autoflower.

Your description definitely not autoflower unless you are indication "super autos" taking 90-100 days.

Typically true autoflower are finished between 60-75 days.

Planting this time of year (esp. in UK) won't garner much as far as optimal growth, material and yield decreased.

Better to wait until next year (outdoors), unless you have a greenhouse.

Growing outdoors (in containers), then moving inside invites pests into your indoor grow area.

Last year I started off some autos on the 25th July here @52N. They just about finished, but was having real problems with mold/PM and the yield was not great. It was still worth it for me, but I wouldn't want to start any later unless it was a super-fast strain. The 25th would be my cutoff point for a 60-75 day strain. This year my final batch of autos was germed on the 12th. The first batch I germed were just harvested a few hours ago, and TBH the yield was not much better than the ones I started late last year although the mold was not quite as bad. It has been a very wet summer here so far though!
