Growing 3 sativas and 2 indicas in 0.4m. Need innovations.

Greetings, i am at my second grow. (first grow: Arjan's Haze #3, beautiful sativa, a bit stretchy with a very nice brain buzz while smoked).
For my 2nd grow, i got my hands on a seed pack mix and germinated all of them (5) in an improvised incubator. Due to a difficult time served while in transit, i was certain that few seeds will actually germinate. For my horror (and pleasant surprise), all of them popped out in ~12 hours. Now i am facing the posibility of growing all of them at once, since i cannot remove any of them nor improvise a second grow-room (to keep some of them in vegetative state).

Seeds:
2 x Arjan's Ultra Haze (sativa)
1 x Jack Herer (sativa)
1 x White Widow (indica)
1 x Northern Lights (indica)

Lights:
1x 150W MH
1x 150W HPS (as a backup)
1x 250W HPS
---
2x CFL 23W @ 6400K
1x CFL 45W @ 6400K

Grow room:
- 0.4 square meters / 0.53 cubic meters dressed in mylar(h: 135cm, l: 53cm, L: 75cm). Almost sealed.
- Cooltube (home-made)
- BioBizz: BioGrow (veg), BioBloom(flower) and FishMix used as foliar spray once every 2 weeks
- other required accessories: pH meter(in-soil probe and water tester), temperature and humidity tester.

What i want from you is a ultimate plan to grow all the plants in 0.4 sqm. What i am thinking of:
1. small pots so they wont stretch too long (especially for the 3 sativas)
2. foliar spraying once a week (BioBizz: FishMix OR molasses) to mature the leaves - during the vegetative state
3. LST
4. topping
5. clone them as much as i can and make a SoG

Any radical thought or plan will be much appreciated.

I'm assuming your seeds are feminized.

1. I would use as big of pots that will fit - probably true 2 gallon pots. You have a lot of height and you can effectively control sativa stretch by training and super-cropping.

2. Just feed them regular. If you want to foilar spray something in veg spray neem as prevention against spider mites.

3. Sure - but I would just bend them over once right before (4-days before) you flower and flower them kind of small. You don't have room for a bunch of growth tips. Actually, it would not be a bad idea to train the sativas, but not the indicas so that the height is more equal in flowering.

4. I wouldn't top them. In your space height isn't the issue as much as footprint is. You don't want the plants too bushy.

BTW - I grow in a cab that is approximately 0.45 square meters.

The pictures below shows 2 Super Silver Haze plants in veg and at the end of flowering. From the beg picture look like they are definitely going to grow out my cab, but I managed to keep the height contained through a combination of crimping and staking.

One other thing I should of mentioned - MH or CHM bulbs are really good for controlling stretch.

nice cab, i now use mine for veg. but i like how them super silver haze turned out . what kinda set up is it growing in some kind of soil/hydro hybrid .i have not seen any thing like that it looks like soil on top and a bubblier system under that; or is it a wick system?

Thanks and thanks. The cab is a Mills Pride C13. It was quite the hot ticket back in 2004 before tents became widely available. I'm still using it because it fits in my closet.

what kinda set up is it growing in some kind of soil/hydro hybrid .i have not seen any thing like that it looks like soil on top and a bubblier system under that; or is it a wick system?

It is just a 22 gallon (38 liter) Sterilite Tote filled with coco (50%), perlite (30%), and worm castings (20%) with some guanos, kelp, lime, and gypsum. It is mulched with some leafs from outside and plant leftovers. The container does not have drainage holes. The PVC pipes are intended to provide for some gas exchange in the deep the root zone. They may not be necessary.

As a small scale, personally grower, I got sick of having to store soil and amendments so I decided to just start re-using the mix. Basically, I chop the plants at their base when they are finished and re-plant in the tote without re-mixing, re-adding, or whatever. Because mixture holds and retains (the mulch) so much water I can water heavily and leave flowering plants unattended for a week without any signs of wilt or stress.

Hey,

I very nice setup, indeed....and those infamous strains! I hope you don't mind if I hang around from time to time in your thread ;)

Good luck with your innovations!

So far SSH, but I've only grown out one ISS and one KM. The plant I have enjoyed the most is a Durban pheono of Paradise Dutch Dragon. From what I've seen the ISS and SSH aren't that far apart - cousins if you like. I have some more seeds that I'll run in a bit. BTW my SSH are from standard (non-fem) seeds from GHS.

Yea i have some sshf2 from greenhouse stock back when shantiba worked there. i plan on one day growing them.but i love the right pheno of kalimist. the guy who gave the super silver haze to me said they where mostly the haze pheno and it took to long to flower for him .he wanted a more skunk/haze pheno. but thats what i want is the haze pheno. right now i have 6 mosca c99bx1 growing and 3 wallyduck c99xgrapefruit.
