hi guys i'm thinkin about planting my babies in the middle of a corn/maize field so i can be sure they won't be found and that not that much insects will be able to destroy em.

anyone ever tried something like this?

yeah i know that...my father is a farmer.
but it's not my own neither his field....but i'm not planning to grow a hole plantage, just some nice plants in the middle...don't want to destroy to much of the farmers field.

id think twice about that you dont know what kind of chemicals the farmer is going to be spraying on his crops. I'd hope for your sake you care enough about your health that you wouldnt want to be inhaling chemicals.

as a farmer boy i know how it works....only once a year there are sprayed chemicals so that the weed(not our weed)doesn't overgrow the corn.
when this is guarenteed they don't sparay again and normally u don't need it more then once.
and around my area i have never seen a farmer spraying chemicals on his crops!

well unless you find a strain that gets ripe very early you will be wasting your time.

I've heard of people growing on the edges of corn fields etc but never directally inside one. I think its a bad idea, you are completly open to view when planting your stuff.

oooh i thought about that too....after they sprayed to get rid of the "weed" the plants are about hmm lets say0,5 m high and it`s time for planting my stuff. you also need to have in mind that my plants are always a little smaller then the corn. if not it would be totally idiotic.

LEO routinely fly over crops looking for weed. They start their search in August and September. When they find it, they rip it. It's easy to see from the air, since it doesn't look anything like corn.

You can still get away with it, but just be aware LEO know about growing in corn fields, too.

i wouldn't plant in a cornfield. why? you ask? because in automn the corn is anything but green.
