Grower looking for a job in Canada

Hello everyone,

I'm a dedicated grower 29y from the middle east. I know how to grow in both soil and hydroponics systems. I can take care of greenhouses. Do all trimming and training needed.

I'm also an athiest so I guess my chances aren't so great where I come from. Anyway I'm looking for a contract to work in Canada and work up my visa.

Also I'm in my way to publish the first book about how to grow in Arabic, and some little research about marijuana history in the middle east.

So if you are interested in helping me finding a job and peace in Canada Dm me please. :tiphat:

Companies in Canada, especially in Ontario, are on a hiring binge. An HR person I know says they're fucking crazy busy. Lots of entry level work. In nice little towns too.

experienced growers aren't growing on trees in canada. there are a ton of them, but most don't want to go work for a LP and the numbers needed are huge. if you get in at the entry level and put in work and show you know your shit and work hard i think people can move onto positions that pay decently.

also, don't shit on someone else's plan.

idk about other provinces, but here are bc's

(a) clearly delineate a total surface area that does not
exceed 50 m2
in which all the budding or flowering
cannabis plants, including all the parts of those plants,
must be contained;

^ if you're wondering how much space you would be allowed with the nursery license.

Yea I saw that 50 m/sq . Not much room at all .. Thats including every rack and shelf used .. tissue culture perhaps is the way if you have the money but easier said then done

That's 538 square feet. I think I could pump out clones from at least 12 moms in that much space.

Lol i have way over 12 moms in my current mom room . seems like a small space when every rack eats up that 538 sq/f

Fwiw, those are the fed regulations, the feds are the authority for licensing all cultivation related activity.

Also note that it says for all budding and flowering, specifically, not vegetative or non flowering plants. With a nursery license you can veg unlimited.

Unfortunately, according to the Application Guide, you cannot mix nursery and micro-cultivation licenses.(sec 5.2, table 2)

The most discouraging info so far is that they've stated two different numbers of the amount of licenses they expect to issue over the next year and ten years.

From a recent regulatory impact statement they estimate 321 licenses issued in a year from now and 621 total in 10 years.

In the recent Cost Recovery Proposal they estimate issuing only 200 licenses per year.

Wow, you're really talented. I think that if you're struggling with finding a job, then it's going to be an impossible mission for me.

You don't need to be extremely talented to get a decent job. You can still make a living without many skills, you just need to check some job-searching platforms like this one and apply for a few job offers. It's really useful, and you don't have to worry about being unemployed, but it's still important to develop your skills.

It's kinda tempting. I would be straight there if a job came up in the UK. Even for pittance. An expanding company would be great, to build the very best production facilities.
