wassup peoples, used to have an account on here but i forgot the password and it was inactive for a while.....anyways, to business.
I plan on venturing back into the wide world of growing, if i do it will be my 4th attempt(2 successful, 1 mildly successful, and 1 that was robbed [f!@#ing plumbers]) all of my previous attempts were in rooms (4x5x8 and a 5x5x5ft)
and this will be my first attempt at flowering in a cab/box.(dont have a spare room, and i rent).
the most optimum space i have for a mildly stealthy growbox is in a 37"x25".
This is the maximum floor area the box can take up. after coming up with a few sketches i got the square footage to be about 6.25-6.5 sq ft.
With a 400W light that i currently have this would give about 60 Watts per sq ft(im considering the bulb is kinda of cheap and probably less than 400W), which is good.....so far.
the biggest issue i think im gonna have is gonna be the heat. im gonna build it to about 42" of flowering space and add on an extra 8" for ballast, electrical stuff, carbon scrubbers(DIY) and fans.
the flowering space and the top portion will be divided by a piece of plywood. the fans are such that 1 blowing on the plants, 1 blowing on the light while it is on, and 2 pulling air through carbon filters to the exterior, there is also a vent on the floor so air can come in and holes in the plywood between the flowering space and the upper portion so aire can actually get to the carbon filters.
the fans will all be computer fans(i need to keep this fairly quiet too)..........and i think that is all you need to know for the questions.......(talking to myself)
Is the ventilation adequate enough to quell the heat?
if i ever get this thing planned out correctly(very close) ill try and post a DIY with pics n such
