Ok...so the problem has hit the top of my plant. Im at the mid point in flowering and im trying to atleast get them to survive so I can harvest something. Any opinions out there? Im having problems uploading pics so I cant post current pics.

Might be the beginnings of a N deficiency, but I too think its more of a P problem. I would have liked it if you had added some 10-0-0 desert Bat Guano, just for the heck of it, since your using an 1000 watter. Maybe next time add a bit. Again not totally sure what it is, but its definetly a defiency. Also doesnt look like its affecting all the leaves.

Its probably affected 75% of the plant now..that pic is from about 2 1/2 weeks ago. I havent figured it out...so Im trying a different mix on the next one I have going in there to see if its my mix or not.

Ok...so I just got done with my daily maintenance. Its probably 80% affected now..at the rate its going im probably going to lose my crop before I can harvest.

Blest 1, you and MDanzig are correct it is a Phosphorus (P) deficiency, your ph is at 6.35 and P is absored at 6.5, so when you repot make sure the ph is at 6.5

Ok..so I tried a different mix. Same problem different strain, which makes me think its my environment. Although nothing has really changed from my previous grows 2 years ago. Three grows now that have been completely facked, no matter what I do they start showing this about 2 weeks into flowering. Theyre completely fine up until this point. Its beginning to make me think that maybe my beans are to old. They are almost 3 years old now.

Betcha that if you get into the habit of re-potting up to an intermediate pot size before tossing them in the big buckets, you will see improvement.
Just by chance... do those plants live in that pot for more than about 5 weeks at a time? And do they start showing stress after 5-6 weeks in the same home?
Your lime buffer is used up and your pH will drop off rapidly.

Well..Ive tried both actually. My normal method is to go from a quart size, then to a 10", then into flowering with the 20" pot, when their usually at about 18-20" of height. That method worked great for about 4 grows.

This current grow, I transplanted some 10-12" clones into 5 gallon buckets for flowering. Theyre showing the same symptoms as the MW I have in the 20", theyre at 16 days. Every time it starts in the middle of the plant and works its way up to the top. Ive tried upping the PBP Bloom on a couple of them and its still not helping.

As for the lime Ive never experienced a ph drop throughout flowering, I usually check the runoff every 3-4 weeks. Stays at a constant 6.3xish. The deficiency usually starts showing around 2 weeks. The MW is at 26 days right now and probably around 60% of the fan leaves are affected. This problem really facked my last grow up that barely finished...Im used to getting around 2lb's from 4 plants, i probably got around 3oz of buds with no density at all. They dont develop for shyte.

Okay, another stupid question... do you calibrate your pH meter regularly, using fresh buffer that you know to be uncontaminated?
Do you ever cross-reference your meter against another type of pH tester?
Is it a Hanna?

Yes its the Hanna Combo pen. I dont have to use it that much due to having a base idea of what I need to do to get to a certain ph range. I usually check it every so often and if the reading is off then I calibrate the meter with the 4.01 and 7.01 solution that I have. Then I recheck the ph of my water again.

This is the main reason I switched nutrients this go around. I was tired of messing with the ph when I used EarthJuice Bloom.

If this probably always shows up first in the middle of the plant you can rule out N, P, and K deficiencies because they are mobile and if they are lacking you will see it at the bottom of the plant.

I believe you have a Ca disorder. Check out the pic of it in the stickys. Cal-Mag...give it a shot.

If it is only occurring during flowering then it might have something to do with your flowering nute's. You could always try replacing your current flowering nutes with a small bottle of something else, and see if that remedies your problem. Either way something is way off balance. Also I see your day/night temps are 68/70. Although this is not life threatening it does slow metabolism causing the plant to need less nutrients and makes it easier to over do it nute wise which will in turn lead to lockouts and such. Again the fluctuation range is good but a bump of about ten degrees is something else to consider. Now my advice may not be the best but they are some good steps that I would myself take if I found myself in a position such as yours, as when it comes to growing trial and error are truly your greatest teachers. Eventually you will find what is ailing the situation. Good luck

Well I guess Ill go back to the EJ Bloom and see what happens. Thanks...Any advice is good advice..k+ for the help so far.

looks like a phosphorous deficiency
however your using a bloom nutrient so it should be covered
what your not using it seems is a calcium/mg supplement besides the lime which can be used up rather quickly, ive gone entire grows forgetting to add the cal/mag and gotten similar results as you, these plants need good amounts of calcium so id try to give them some and see what happens, good luck

I actually have some CalMag I bought recently for hydro. I never really used more than 2-3ml/gal. I use tap, and Ive read it was designed for RO water so I use it sparingly. I guess Ill up the dose and see what happens definitely cant hurt them.
