Grow tents

We'll I have finally made it out to colorado and am starting out in a rental with a cool landlord thank god. I do remodeling so I was going to build my room with screws to take it down easily when I move. I'm now leaning towards a 8x8 tent out of respect for the landlord. Is a tent worth it or are they garbage. I think the gorrila grow tents are to pricey so I saw the oasis 8x8 which looked good. What's everyone's opinion on my situation. Worked 10 months rehabbing 2 homes and drove 17 hours to do this. Can't wait to start back up again.

They are not garbage but way over priced for what they are and are not light proof. Frame yourself a room with screws, 2x4's and panda plastic. You will have more head room and save alot of money that can go into more lighting or whatever. Waste of money in your described situation. Good Luck

Grow tents are not for everyone. I have had several grow tents...still use them...and none of them ever gave me a single problem regarding light leaks.

Secret Jardin is highly recommended...if you are looking for more leg room....get yourself a gorilla tent.

If you get good use out of it...it will pay for itself within one run.

You can frame out a box and skin it with plywood easily and quicxkly.

I like being able to screw into walls anywhere I need to.

-outlets
-modular
-customizable
-easy to clean/not as fragile
-cheaper

and the most important:

-hidden rooms!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have both a Secret Jardin and a Grow Lab. They are both good tents, I think the GL has a better zipper, and the SJ might be a little heavier material. They are different sizes, so it may not be a good comparison, but I like the door design on the GL better - the one on the SJ is twice as big (single vs double doors), and tends to be pulled into the tent when you unzip it from the negative air pressure. It could easily knock the shit out of a plant if you space out and don't hang on to it.

I was tempted to use a plywood box, but this was easier and knocks down a hell of a lot easier. I think if I was going to go with a box, I'd put it on some big ass casters.

I found a homedepot with 1/4 inch osb so I'm going to try building my first one which will cost around $200. I already have a 100ft roll of permaflect so I'll see how it goes
