Hi, I have a 4x7 and 8tall grow tent with 2 x 600w lights and I am using 2 small fans and one larger one as well as an extractor fan and open vents. This is in a garage space with no windows. I am having real trouble keeping the temprature low. It is around 30 and I am trying to get it to 25. Sometimes I need to open the gargage door slightly to get some fresh air (not ideal). To bring the temp right down I need to open doors of tent also.Is them some way I can keep the temp at 25 without having all these doors open? Is there something I am missing here? Thanks in advance

i use (2) 600 in my 4x4 tent but its inside with an AC in the room, i use a 6" fan to extract the heat thru the cool tubes and a 4" fan exhausting any excess heat thru a carbon filter. i use passive intake and my temps are managable but im insied.

my guess would be to increase the air exchange of your tent and if possibly exhause all heat away from your air intake.

i'd guess your problem is you're sucking all that hot air out of the tent and into the garage while at the same time you're sucking air into your tent FROM that same garage so after a while the air in that garage gets hot and stale and i'd expect you'd run into the same problem if you ran a single 250, it'd just take longer for the garage air to heat up.

...you need to find a way to vent that hot air out of the garage and bring in some fresh cool air, ...keep in mind that you need fresh air for more reasons than just 'cause it's cooler.

here is a thread that might help.

You need to get that hot air out of the garage, and have some cool air feeding the garage. That will in turn feed the tent with cooler air.

did you get your problem solved? Id like to hear more as im using a similiar space with (2) 600s and my temps stay at 70f. someother guy hit the nail on the head. your sucking the hot air your exhausting... Not gonna work. Can u cut a hole in the cieling and exhaust above and out? i think your temps would be alot more stable. I hope you are using air cooled hoods or optimal temp is not gonna be obtainable in that space. Once you vent the hot air away from your cool air, make sure you have an intake twice the size of your exhaust for maximum efficiancy.

I have 5000wts in my garage in the desert keeping it cool with swamp coolers! I have it broken up into separate rooms, one of those (rooms) is a 4x8 grow tent. I took that tent made it two separate sides flower one side other side is a 600w bulb for veg. Flower side which is 4x4 is lit with a 1000w bulb. I am able to keep temps 79 high for the day and 70 low for night time temps. I do have air being extracted out of garage into attic so humidity doesn't build which never goes over 55%. Hope that helps you bud, PEACE!
