Hello all, I am new here and could use some help on this section for my grow room. A little info, I have a room that is 9 x 18 x 9 and has 2 large windows (1 to garage and 1 to outside), no people around my area so not worried about someone seeing anything weird such as inline fans etc by the windows, but, want to be secure and private.
I am having a hard time figuring out how I want to design or setup (tent) in this room. I can frame out and build a complete hidden room with window access to garage for inline air and exhaust complete with ducting in the fake wall and it would come to an are of 5 x 9 x 9 which I believe would give me a good space to grow my 2 plants and length of room for great air circulation and humidity control with fans and dehumidifier/AC if needed…..OR….I can purchase a tent size 4 x 8 and accomplish basically the same thing (length for good circulation, climate control) and have the option to dismantle everything if need be……OR…simply get a 4 x 4 tent and still have actual "office/Man room" space to chill?
I am asking these questions for ideas from you all because my new house is not finished yet and I have a few months to dial the plan all
in, I have been purchasing certain items here and there such as ballast's, fans, containers, etc, etc so when it is time to move in many months will have passed quietly and all my equipment will be ready to go. Here is my setup I will be using to help determine a good grow room setup from you all.
SolisTek: 1000w digital ballast (400, 600, 1000w bulb capacity along w MH/HPS)
I will be using either 600 or 1000w for 12/12 and 400wMH for veg depending on climate control.
8 inch inline fan
multiple small fans on hand
not sure on hood yet, any suggestions?
hand water top feed to waste coco or rock wool grow cubes, hopefully after time an automated system, only 2 plants though.
Thoughts?
