Grow tent filters

I have a grow tent that's 4x8x6 feet I need to buy an exhaust fan one question was how much cfm should I get for a tent this size and second question is the holes That I leave open oh the bottom of the tent am I suppose to put filters there and if I am what kind do I get? And do I need a carbon filter for the exhaust or is that only if I don't want the smell to get out?

took me a second to stop laughing at the posts, but, Ive always been a fan of the Can66 filters. (6" flange)
Heavy but the work like a dream.
Get a fan and a router speed controller and adjust it accordingly.

But, if youre growing outdoors......why ya need a filter, ya?

:)

classic.

Well ur rooms approx 192 cubic feet and usually you want to exchange your air twice per min I'd go with a 400cfm, active air makes a 6in that's affordable. As for the vents at the bottom you want to Velcro them closed when start 12/12 to prevent light leak then find a way to let air in but not light. I'm still looking for the perfect solution for when my outtakes off and my intake blows my tent up like a Ballon lol.

Router speed controller.
Spin dial.
From one to......e-leven.

:)

I had the same problem. I put one of those on the fan at the top of the filter and spun it down, as conditions changed.
Its not as tedious as it sounds....they (can66) are just heavy af.

I'm growing outdoor but on the moon haha but I was planning on doing a passive intake and have an exhaust fan only but was wondering what to put on my intake that will filter out light and dust and bugs

I have a speed controller on both intake and outtake(both 6in active air) I thought turning it down would do the trick but when lights off my intake shuts off aswell and it blows tent up even on low settings..I found a few decent options on YouTube SBB type in
light proof intake.
