Hello fellow puffers & growers!
Me and my buddy are moving to a bigger apartment!
As of now, we have a closet (120 x 120 x 240 cm), soil only.
Our "Soil closet" is in the vegetative stage, on around 4th month.
In our new apartment we have twice as much space, and we're dedicating that space to hydroponics, Ebb & Flow.
Initially we'll continue using soil (in closet), while building and starting up our hydroponics system (Type of grow: SCROG)
We're planning on eventually expanding the hydro (double up) and completely get rid of soil grow. But we want some experience first.
Our current materials (Soil Grow):
1 x homemade closet 120x120x240 cm
1 x Adjust-a-Wing: Medium
1 x 600 watt MH & HPS bulbs, with cooltube
1 x Ruckfan: 470 m3
1 x aquarium: 250 Liters / 66 gallons
1 x X-stream 105 Site propagator (room for 150 clones)
1 x 4 meter Black & White sheeting
Nutes: Biobizz pack
Plants:
2 x MK ULTRA - 4 months old
2 x Chocolope - 4 months old
1 x White Widow (mother) - 1 year old
6 WW clones, 1 Choco-clone & 3 MK ULTRAs 6 weeks old
Future purchases (for hydro, Ebb & Flow):
1 x 8 meter black & white sheeting
10 x Window boxes: L:100 cm H: 20 cm W: 15 cm
1 x 600 watt MH & HPS bulbs, with cooltube

Serious Seeds: Chronic (probably) - Open for suggestions!!

LAYOUT
1) So far we've read good things about Serious Seed Chronic, for SCROG & decent yield. We're aware that there's a lot of factors determining the success of a grow. We know that not 1 type of strain is necessarily better than the other.
The good thing about Chronic, apparently is that it " Grows a single huge central bud with few side branches" - perfect for SCROG, or a stacked SOG we guess.. If someone have suggestions for a better strain, please let us know, but explain why..
2) We're planning on having 5 plants in each window box (10) Meaning around 50 clones at a time, first time around.
Plan is to vegetate (from clones) a couple of weeks, and then bloom.
We hope the layout drawing is somehow understandable.
To explain: We're planning on connection our hydro tent to the closet via a PVC pipe. So the exhaust fan in the closet, sucks out the air from the hydro tent, through the cool tube, thus saving us the expense of another ruckfan.
There's a fresh air intake right beside the hydro tent.
Questions
a) I guess our main question is, is it possible for the ruckfan (470m3) to empty out both rooms (6m3) without causing major problems..? We realize that heating could be a problem.
b) Would a 250 liter aquarium be sufficient for around 5 x 100 cm window boxes, and what kind of pump do we need for the job?? More than 1?
c) Why would one choose e.g. GH over Advanced Nutritions (for hydro)? We just don't know which one to pick.
We haven't been so happy about Bio Bizz, but that's probably due to our lack of experience in the beginning. We've managed to pretty much fuck up our grow a couple times, but now we're on the right track.
