seems very nice, but there is nothing on the web site in writing about the author, the concept, the project, any affiliations, etc...

what do you know about it?

not saying it's not perfectly innocent, but there could be code in there that could be detrimental and send your IP to LEO or something... just sayin...

i sure wouldn't download and install it unless i had the source code and new a lot more about it..

it sure looks nice however ;)

EDIT: i just googled 'herb iq'... there is some info out there, checking it out now...

well it is written by a couple users over at roll it up...

just google 'herb iq' and go the the thread several links down called 'Free Grow Software'

it's been around since july 2010...

sounding and feeling more legit all the time ;)

starting to look over the code a bit, but it's will take time to go through all of it... with that said, i would think any backdoors, etc... would have been identified already if it was malicious in any way...

any ASP NET programmers out there care to comment... that's not where my expertise is, but i can understand most of the code, there is just a bunch of it...

I had those same concerns, while I do not read code, I did run it against a network sniffer, several av programs and several trojan detectors. It looks clean to me and does not appear to be talking to anything that it shouldn't.

i only see outdated 6 months old source for this programm .. did you find the current sources anywhere ??

btw AV only helps in case of a KNOWN trojan/malware ... its best not to run any .exe from unknown source

i'm in total agreement...

however, this is a known member on another MJ forum and his thread is 150 pages long and his code has been used for going on 2 years...

EDIT: i'll look at the source i downloaded... i didn't realize it was that old...

Where are those Anonymous hackers when you need them? I am sure they would know if it was a safe program. :) Let us know if it is safe to use....I would love to dl too.

I have been using this program for about a month now and I wanted to create a thread..
This one is a little old but I wanted you to know I love this program!!

I have an excel sheet that I was keeping track with but this is soo much easier/more organized.
IMO the WIN grow version is better but you have to pay for it if you have more than 3 plants.. and I'm cheap and couldn't find a crack haha

I'm not legal so I was a little worried at first but the program doesn't ask for an internet connection or anything like that so I'm not worried about it logging me.

I'm a computer guy and I've never been disciplined with pads of paper. I'd get them wet, accidently skip pages, can't read what I wrote, etc.
It's great to finally be organized! No longer forgetting how long I've been in flower, or if I fed or watered last, etc.
