the homebox uses a steel frame they just paint it white and it also hase a double floor that is removable, I know someone who works for the company that makes the homebox and from what he tells me the people that make the hydrohut bought a homebox about 1 year after they came out and copied it and then never improved it while the homebox people are always updating the homebox and making it better.

Heres a similar UK version, the 'Budbox'. With a 8" vent at the top.

Blast ---thats good to know they are always updating it, have they gone with 6" vents over the 4" vents yet? I dont know why any of these boxes would use 4" vents. square footage at minimum is about 10 square ft, most peeps would use a 600 or 1000 wt lamp, and your not gonna cool that with a 172cfm fan w/ carbon scrubber

they have been using 6" now for the past couple models, and so what if there flammable almost everything in your house is flammable and none of that stuff burns to the ground, and there are three intakes at the bottom like this.

well, to introduce myself: i am dirk, i am working for several companies in the branche, which are:
CANNA int.

dont wanna spam, or indirect advertise, just wanna make you all get the right info.
and i saw the discussion here, so i thought i´d jump in.
blast420 is absolutly right with his remarks.
the homebox has the same steelframe as the hydrohut, and the other copies on the market.
but, due to the fact that white is more reflective than the blank steel,
and due to preserving abilities of coatings,
we decided to get white coated steeltubes.
the homebox also has a second flooring, as well as the hydrohut (they copied it!).
we really try to implement improvements asap, and due to the fact, that we have an ongoing production,
changes are implemented next day after notice, and with that even though the products are shipped worldwide,
normally dont need longer than 3-4month till they are in the stores.
also, we managed to have the biggest productline, trying to match all needs.
one thing to add: a lot of shops have the homebox already for years. this means, that they very often
have a quite old version set up in their stores...
so, if you go and look for them, you may wanna ask the employees how long the box is already sitting there...
this is especially true for the european/uk market.
But, on the website, you will see the most recent modell, also animated gifs to see how they are set up...
so, its up to you consumers, to make the comparison, and the choice!!!
