Grow came out with bud (leafy, stretchy and not densely formed)

So just finished my first grow in fifteen years. Ton of trichomes on my buds but most buds from this grow turned out “stretchy, not dense”. I was doing an indoor soil grow under powerful LED lighting (top and side lighting). I was running quite a bit of power during flowering.

What causes this to occur with my buds? Should I move the lights closer next Grow?

Could be many reasons really.

Genetics is one possible reason. Airy and fluffy buds might just be how it likes to grow. Especially if a more sativa type strain.

Another reason could be that you harvested too early, before the buds had fully filled out.

But could be something else as well. Too much nitrogen during the flowering phase for example. Yes even not enough light but doesn't really sound like it would be the reason in this case with powerful lights all over.
