Hey Fredster, do have those strains already? I am very curious about the new Greenhousestrains especially the H. Snow. I want to see if they live up to the hype. Granted a good showing at Spannabis 2005 expo can't be a bad sign. Are they next in line? Keep me posted.

Hawaiin Snow is very good i am picking up a pack of them myself but am pretty pissed about them winning a seed category at HTCC when there not suppose to have a seed co.

I don't work for Greenhouse, but I do believe in giving the beans the benefit of the doubt. How is it they can't sell seeds? It's my understanding that in order to be listed as a "seed co" in the competition that information has to be verified in order for the entries to be valid. Granted there is a lot of drama about Arjan and whether or not he's a cheat or not. I always believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt, but sometimes people see and hear what they want to rather than basing their comments on the facts. Lets say I'm someone that you don't like. You despise me with a passion. Don't even like to say my name. People know you don't like me, it's not a big secret. Lets say I smacked your mom or something or I poisioned your dog. Something that would give you reason to have dislike or distrust for me. Lets say I offer you a Bently Convertible with $2MM in the glove box and you decided to take it. Would this make you like me anymore than you did before? No... Should it make you forget that I did something truly horrible or disgusting to you.... No It does however make me look like a stupid fool which I should be seen as for doing so. Lets go a step further and say that the Bently was a broken piece of junk and the cash was counterfiet. That really changes things and I truly look like a demeaning piece of shit. What is my point..... People don't like Arjan because he did what he did at the HTCC... The point is ARJAN WON THE PEOPLES CUP.... The people made the choice to vote his beans the winner. It shouldn't matter is Arjan took people from the cup to the Greenhouse to be fed by a french chef, be massaged, or given gifts or trinkets to remember the Greenhouse by. That shouldn't matter when you're voting on the best herb or the best seeds. If it tasted like crap, had a high that was anything but desirable, had a poor yeild, or just was shitty weed/beans... then why vote for it. That's why it's called the peoples choice. It doesn't matter if you give me gifts or treat me like a queen... If your product is crap your product is crap and no amount of freebies is going to make me change my mind. You would think that others would feel the same way. If that's not the case, you can't blame Arjan for taking advantage of peoples inablity to stand up for what they truthfully believe in and their ability to be so easily bought and sold!!! I've got a pack of Arjan's Haze and some Hawaiian Snow that I'm going to be growing out in August. Just got a nice little care package from a friend. I don't know Arjan, but my friends do. I can understand why people would think he bought the cup. I can also understand that people need to be responsible for their own thoughts and actions. I'm not trying to take sides.... Just trying to keep it real....

If The HTCC was a blind test, some of what you said would be valid, and a lot of it is anyway, but the fact remains, that it is not, and has never been!
The thing about not being a seed company...they were not a seed company at the time last year, they had been banned by the dutch goverment from producing seeds and the new loine has only just come out,. Their seed company was not operating at the time of the last joke..sorry, I mean HTCC. As for the peoples cup part too, well, he got caught keifing the samples before didnt he....

Rez seems to know a lot about this, and was there last year to see it happen(with much disgust I believe!!!), maybe he could go further into the whole thing.

anyway, dont wann start an argument, lol.....if they werent trying to sell their beans at such a ridiculous price, then maybe they would be worth giving the benefit of the doubt...bvut not the SSH, coz it cant be the real deal...an F" perhaps...but thats not the same and can never make the SSH again...coz Shanti took it, he has stated that although he left Arjan some breeding stock..He took the Super Silver Haze with him...totally. thats y I think so little of this, coz if the tosser is mis-representing one thing..then what about the rest??? He sounds(and looks) like a shady character to me.

With reference to seed co's & coffee shops...the Dutch gov decided a while back that if you owned a coffee shop you could not also own a seed co, and if you owned a seed co you could not also own a coffee shop....this is what happened to GH Seeds for a temporary time until they figured out how to get around the gov's rule.... all anyone who owns a coffee shop has to do to also have a seed co is list the other co in someone else's name...a wife, a sister, a brother, an uncle...etc.etc.etc. I'd bet that if inquired at the KVK the GH coffee shop and GH seed co are not owned by the same person :wink: I'd also bet Arjan's not the only one to practice some creativity in this regard. Remember...anything is possible in Holland

Why does it have to be soooo expensive when there's so many cheaper or even free better choices?

When i saw the DVD cover of his lastest video it instantly reminded me a book from my father, mr. Honda biography - the typical "how i got to the top, i rule' bizzness entrepeneur(sp) lousy image..
When i tried to explain most of the crap this guy's been pullin on the cups to a friend, he just didn't want to believe - why?
He got a free packet of A. Haze too..

Well i have been to the last 3 cups and i can say PEOPLE didn't vote for the SEED. They voted for the weed. And like some have said he was caught keifing his weed. He is a nice guy from what i have talked to him. I did spend alot of time in his shop last year during the cup and seen alot of fukd up shit at the shop. Never the less The Arjan Haze imo didn't deserve 2nd place for ppls cup. I will be back to his shop to see if its just like it was during the cup or not. I was told the seeds they gave us as judges were Himalayan gold and Il Nino.

1. gosh.... I posted a email that I got from their mailing list - it was not a promotion of ANY sort - I live in the states & Greenhouse does not know Fred - i mearly bought some of there product form SEEDBAY & signed up for their news-letter

2. I believe the post clearly stated "Stand"

3. This was not about the Greenhouse rep.- fact is Greenhouse does not need fred to advertize for them / IMHO = their history speaks for it's self;

Sorry i forgot that they made 2 cats. for weed. 1 where the "celeb judges" get to pick the top 3 for us. Which i thought was bullshit. Then they had the peoples cup. Which Arjan did win. Sorry i made mistake. He got 2nd in Seed Co. but that is again Judged by the "Celebirties". So the ppl didn't choose that one. As for the ppl's cup. There were not suppose to be anybody who was involved in the event at the ballots line. But ofcourse Arjan was there handing out stickers and other free shit. Which im sure didn't influence anyones vote but was again against the rules . Well hope its not such a fiasco at ICmag420 cup. I will be Xpert Judging this year so i will see the difference in Cups and pass on any news i have.
