I understand what you're trying to do, but you are not adding any content by posting like this. At the very least you can offer *something* to your own thread, no?

Thanks Doublejj
That's a little better.

Not so much...

Much better!

It needs as much ventilation as possible. Is the fan pulling air in or taking it out, or is it just moving air around inside? I have a small GH that's got two doorways and four windows, so simply opening it up to the ambient air flow is sufficient.

When you have a clear cover, you have a solar collector or more accurately, a solar oven. The clear top lets the heat in and keeps adding heat unless you have a way to get rid of it as fast as it collects.

A big vent at the top works quite well if you can open the sides up. If you try to get rid of the heat with a fan on one end and a vent on the other, they both have to flow a lot of air to work.

In Southern Arizona, we use a big evaporative cooler on one end and big vents, or an open door on the other side. That works well here because the humidity is low. They don't work at all if the humidity is high.

Good luck.

Other than the UV protection FarmTec has in it and its 4yr warrantee, how is FarmTec different than the Home Depot 6mil($100 for 20'x100')? Light transmission?

thanks,

The Home Depot plastic won't last 1 season. I'm on my second year with the same piece of farmtek plastic.
Good luck

my old greenhouses with that material lasted 6 years. could of gone longer with patching i imagine. the woven poly stuff rocks. i also had shade cloths for each gh. along with roll up sides and back.
