Green LED ok during dark period? (flowering)

Hey guys and gals

Iv just brought a funky new PC fan with a built in green LED, Can I use it in my box 24/7 during flowering without causing hermi problems?

I used the search and found 2 posts on the subject that seemed to think it was ok, just wanted to get an opinion from the masses before i install it. Only one post mentioned the use of Green Compact fluorescents, nothing about LED's.

I have to flower my plants at night due to the summer temps during the day, So being able to actually see them during the day time would be helpful lol

Yes, I got one of those new headband green led thingies, works great. Plants cannot absorb green light, so it doesn't affect their day/night patterns.

Not sure fat cat, iv heard very little, I now green to have no effect, Blue dus not affect the dark period but iv read if you have a blue light on during the dark period photosynthesis still occurs but I don’t know if that’s true and what the results are like

These green LEDs are great because they are a pure green wavelength. No chance of screwing up the plants

What about green digital readouts? My new dehumidifier has green "digits" for the target humidity.

Nice when a thread is sitting there that you were thinking about starting.

:2cents: I'm running a small PC case and I had a big PSU with a really bright blue LED fan. I kept manually switching the lights/fan off for the first 6 weeks of vegging. I only have two plants in the case, both stayed in the same soil and were given the same nutes.

The one that sat right under the PSU is three times the size of its roommate. I have no idea if its just because of different strains or because the other got sick but it's like a crazy difference. I've removed the PSU and now the fans run all the time off AC/DC adapters because really thought that blue LED had some effect. But I could be wrong.
