Great White Shark

Short and simple, how have your successes been on it and what light cycle have you used with most success? 12/12? Thats what I plan on using, but I just want to hear from a fellow experienced grower.

Sincerely,
Coop :joint:

It's very similar to most of the white strains like widow and rhino. The GWS i smoked did smoke better than the rhino i grew from nirvana, but nirvana is shit so that doesn't mean much. GWS and other white strains aren't really my cup of tea though, they are meant for someone looking for a decent dutch indica strain...heavy couchlock, average yield, and usually a harsh/earthy taste. You need to try the strain for yourself to know if it's your cup of tea, your favorite strain may be someone elses least favorite strain. I think there are better indicas out there, but that's just my .02.

I understand, and I havent even ordered the seeds of white widow yet from gypsy's. Can you suggest some good cheap indicas, how about any of the sensi's? sensi skunk? I was thinkin about that. Im just curious though, what methods would u suggest for a lighting cycle other than 12/12 especially for gws but it is sativa mostly.

Try White Lable "White Skunk" ($15 for 15 seeds)
or Mandala Speed Queen.

couchlock?
bro-how long are you letting them go for?
I would describe the buzz as stimulating, up and borderline psychedelic-i didn't experience couchlock unless it was abused-as in 4 hits when 2 was enough
This strain packs one of my favorite highs-uppity is what i'm all about and this strain does not dissappoint-i don't get the "heavy dutch indica" comment since it's a brazilian staivaXskunk

i kind of agree with burt, it is fricken brazilian widow deriver/skunk/sativa, says it right on the pack. Im still looking for an indica though, white skunk... hmmm i hope to yield alot. im concerned, i hope i can get at least 1-3 ounces per 3-4 seeds of GWS growing with a 400w HPS and root nutes.

Oh i got a question, when should root nutes be used? someone told me that they should be used during flowering, but since GWS grows huge roots, why not start at the veg stages? And how long should GWS be vegged for?

Sure, the original strains originate from those areas (brazil, etc.) But i believe white widow which is a hybrid, was developed in Holland...hence the dutch indica comment. You'll see alot of people talking about them occasionally. Dutch commercial indicas tend to be very similar and average in quality, there nothing new and get tiring fairly
quick. Don't get me wrong, they can produce some great smoke but i know of many indicas that smoke alot better and are even cheaper. I sent you a pm with some indicas that are good, some are slightly high priced so i'll list the ones that are cheap, but still kick ass:

Hashberry (mandala)

Afghani (seedsman and flying dutchmen both offer very nice but cheap afghani strains)

Hashplant (seedsman)

Blockhead (Spice of life. A little more expensive than the others, but well worth it. GSA has it for $57 a pack)

Medicine Man (Mr Nice. Also known as white rhino, it's similar to widow but more potent because of the afghani added)

Pot of Gold (flying dutchmen. the cross is hindu kush x skunk no. 1. Good yield and potent)

Skunk No. 1/The Pure (seedsman, sensi seeds, flying dutchmen. Cheap indica that is very stable and produces fairly strong smoke with a very nice yield. More of a production plant though, but still strong)

Sweet Tooth #3 (potent with a very nice taste, you can find packs for as cheap as $40 sometimes. Get it from spice of life)

Hindu Kush (potent with a decent yield. I believe sensi seeds carries it)

Motarebels crosses are also very nice and cheap, not sure if there are any still available though.

Heads seeds and Annac also both offer some nice crosses for cheap. Theres plenty of options out there...
