Hey,

I thought it would be nice to post my experiences (and experiments) into a thread, keep it organized, within the limits of a diary.

I ran multiple rounds before, read things I never thought even exist (or coexist), so growing is an amazing and fun journey for me.

For start, I would like to thank you all for all the effort, all the patience, all the time you put into sharing guides, tips and even journals with other, I learned everything I know from you guys and internet guides.

My choosen one for this round is Great White Kush aka GWK (OG Kush x White Russian) from HUBA Seed Bank (I've been running Northern Lights previously, and g/w was easy as f*ck, I'm hoping for the same with this strain, fingers crossed)

Lets get into the details:

I'm using multiple tents for different stages:

VEG:
2x
(40x40) = (1x1)
100W led in each, one of the leds are dimmable (SF1000)

in the propagator, i have 2 rooted clones from the big plant (its purpose is to be The Mom Of All Clones )
on the top of the propagator there is a clone already in Light Mix soil, with a glass on the top of it to ensure its humid enough. (i let in air 1 or 2 times a day, this is temporary)

FLO:
60x75 = (2x2.5)
300W (SE3000)

The ( 25L / ~7 gallon) DWC tank is messed up right now..., the PH is fluctuating around 4-8 (waiting for my permanent solution to be delivered, it'll be fixed in 2 days top).

I'm using a little 12V water pumps to push water from the middle of the tank, to the clay pebbles, since there were just small root-lings visible on the rooting plugs.

Once the other one (the clone in soil in the veg tent) got some roots, I'll transplant it to its final pot, next to the dwc one.

Please be gentle, this is my first bubbleponics run, I had few rounds before, in soil.

I'm not sure if we consider this a Micro Grow or not, if yes, feel free to move it anywhere it fits.

Advices, notes, roasts are welcome and required.

Both dwc and soil rooted nicely:

dwc: A RO filter helped me to fight the PH down from 8 to 6. EC is ~1 in the filtered water, I'll start feeding her nutes soon.
soil: transplanted to growmix and perlite, (layered as: 10% perlite, 80% soil, 10% perlite)

The FLO tent is looking good so far, I'll switch sometime in the next 2 weeks.

foliar: they both enjoying ro water with a slight hit of wuxal super, once or twice a day.

mum got a little more lst, starting to form shape.

dwc:

the clear signs of the need of the water pump (its not root rot yet, BUT PLEASE DONT DIE ON ME!!!! )
after ~1 day, all sides started growing roots. (even in this conditions lol)
- started using ice packs to not let my water heat up too much (taking lower from stable-ish 26°C, but sometimes its 28.. so lets say its fluctuating.. i had 23°C yesterday all afternoon.. that will settle i guess..)
- readjusted ph to 6- / ec was stable, not that it matter, since i replaced the water.. added the other half of the hydro nutes to the tank
- gave the tank a tinfoil hat, to stop radio waves (ha! just kidding, its against the direct heat. WHO MAKES BLACK DWC TANKS??? probably the same guys who wear black t-shirt at the beach.. right?? )

i was planning to switch to hydro to simplify things, but man..


soil:
the plant in soil was like 'meh, its not that cold, so?? gimmeee foooood!?' -- she is turning to the lights, enjoying the environment, so this weekend im putting her higher (same height as the dwc one)

Final look from the veg tent, its not relevant anymore, but still, a beauty!

Due to my first try to hydro, the soil one past the dwc one for now.. but I'ts getting in shape..

Minor root rot, trying to keep the temperature down, constantly removing the brown parts... 2x 12v water pump died, waiting for the new one, which is not for diy irrigation, and an actual water pump.

Not good, not bad, but its not dead yet, and its even growing, so..

Added epsom to foliar, its around 1EC, since the ladies are growing nice, I'll increase it to ~1.5EC with epsom+wuxal (and a hint of ca)
I choose a vigorous strain again, lucky me

Sometimes when I open my diary, I need to check the dates to make sure it was only 1 week.
They grew at least double to the previous size, the led in the flower tent was left on 40% by mistake, now I increased it to 60%.

(constant fight with the temperature in the dwc tank, using ice packs to keep the temps down.)

EC ~1,2
PH ~6

flip was 2 days ago. (12/12)

The one in soil was left behind.. the hydro side branches almost as thicc as the soil one main branch! It was a great journey, but from here, this is not a side by side growth, and that's on me, because I forgot the led on 40%, and it went by like this for at least half of the week.. and the 40% mixed with the flip to 12/12 made the stems this crazy loooooooong.. Ups.

I'll flower these 2 beauties for sure, and after all, the experiment was a success, I learned a lot about RO, PH and water solvable nutrients (luckily what I've been using in soil, compatible with hydro hehe)

Temperature is still an issue, I'm not able to resolve it at the current location, but they manage (and the lights are on, when its nighttime outside), and I'm helping the dwc one with ice packs also, so the water temperature is around 24-26°C (the canopy and the tinfoil helps a lot in this)
