Key Summary Points of CCHI: CCHI Summary (pdf)
CA State Official Analysis: sos.ca.gov.

California, the largest political unit in the USA and eighth largest global economy, can join other states and show the way to the future by re-legalizing the ultimate sustainable domestic resource- Cannabis.

The California Cannabis Hemp Initiative 2014 would create millions of jobs with a new, truly green economy with a valuation in the trillions of dollars.

This vital natural resource Cannabis Hemp, which was made illegal under a false propaganda campaign in 1937, can provide multitudes of non-toxic products, perhaps most importantly bio based oil/energy/plastics without the tragic loss of life, security concerns and wars due to foreign dependence, or catastrophic toxic ocean spills.

This is the ultimate renewable resource, way more efficient than corn or anything else.

It can also provide building materials, insulation and even paints/varnishes that are green, biodegradable, and non-toxic.

Hemp seeds can provide a super-food balanced in all amino acids and providing omega 6 and 3 in the perfect 3-1 ratio.

It is so resilient and easy to grow that it still grows feral in all 50 states and improves soil as it grows.

The petrochemical industry has had a good run- they've made their billions and have us on the edge of a dangerous cliff. They did it all by making a simple plant illegal for pure greed and profit for a mere 75 years.

Won't you help us start to right the wrongs of Hemp prohibition? Won't you help us end this lunacy once and for all? Enough is enough.

Our initiative is simple- make Cannabis Hemp 100% legal the way it used to be- and save our economy and our environment.

It's not going to save our economy. BUT... it's eventually going to happen.

IMO..

It really depends on how they implement the laws...
They being the Federal Government...

Hemp on an industrial level could save our economy alone...
There are so many ways to make huge money with huge amounts of hemp...
THERE IS NO TREE OR PLANT SPECIES ON EARTH CAPABLE OF PRODUCING AS MUCH PAPER PER ACRE AS HEMP! HEMP IS NUMBER ONE!

Paper production from hemp would eliminate the need to chop down BILLIONS of trees! MILLIONS of acres of forests and huge areas of wildlife habitat could be preserved.

Hemp can also be substituted for cotton to make textiles. Hemp fiber is 10 times stronger than cotton and can be used to make all types of clothing. Cotton grows only in warm climates and requires enormous amounts of water. Hemp requires little water and grows in all 50 states!

Hemp naturally repels weed growth and hemp has few insect enemies. Few insect enemies and no weed problems means hemp requires NO HERBICIDES and FEW or NO PESTICIDES!

Hemp produces more biomass than any plant that can be grown in the U.S.
This biomass can be converted to fuel in the form of clean-burning alcohol, or no-sulphur man-made coal.

Hemp has more potential as a clean and renewable energy source than any crop on earth!
It is estimated that if hemp was widely grown in the U.S. for fuel/energy, it could supply 100% of all U.S. energy needs!

Just a few examples...

Marijuana i would hope only gets De-criminalized...
I don't believe the feds would Legalize Marijuana simple because they and I..
Would not want to see marijuana grown on an industrial level
let alone allowing other countries ( Mexico ) to flood our markets with huge amounts of weed the second it became legal for import...

Im hoping for marijuana De-criminalized on the federal level
including being able to mail seeds if licensed and a cap of 1-2000 plants per organization at any given time...

Regulated on a state level not to exceed the federal caps.

This would allow a Wine type local economy that could feed the worlds seed needs...lol

Though there may still be Coors/Budweiser
size marijuana producers there would also
be the lager and home brew label market
that the average joe could do well in and as
a byproduct of being able to share genetics
from state to state.
We could surly create some wonderful strains
for both medical as well as enjoyment
while wearing our Hemp cloths, driving our 40% hemp made cars that run on 80% gas parked in our 60% hemp house we bought with our 100% hemp paper money....

:2cents: 2 Cent.... :YaRight:0% hemp:abduct:

Dare to dream.... :ying:

double edged sword. nice to have but yall want all that pollen blowing around.i am all for hemp but say goodbye to seedless in a lot of areas.if the gove was smart an wanted to screw everyone they would back the hemp and pollinate everything .that would suck except indoor with hepa filter.i wouldn't wanna live near a field but respect the plant.

Bad for outdoor growers but good for everyone else and the planet.

Billions on billions worth of sustainable products from marginal property, creating jobs and industry with far fewer resource inputs.

Food, fuel, building materials, plastics with minimal hydrocarbons used primarily to fuel production along with any waste byproducts burned as energy input.
Hemp could create the closest thing to a self sustaining perpetual motion machine.

It has to be stopped by any measure fair or foul by entrenched interests.

Who wants a bunch of fuckin eco-hippies running sustainable billion dollar enterprises?

it would be ammzingly unlikely... but wouldnt it be nice to have a localized mom & pop industry? buy local, grow local... support the community... no massive corp interests present, at all...?

why not?

Actually, it is very likely. When the SHTF, supply lines will sever because oil will be too expensive to ship from China or even Europe
and a worse case scenario from within intercon USA.

Most of what you'll consume will be local to be affordable and available.
Petro dollars means cheap oil. When they go, so does cheap oil.
The next 25 years are going to look nothing like the last 25.
Small local mfg. of many goods will undergo a renaissance because it will be a necessity due to severe economic constraints.
