Great Canadian TV

Hi I am a huge fan of The Trailer Park Boys. I love Bubbles and his kitties!

The only reason I knew about the existence of The Trailer Park boys was because I posted over at Overgrow and here.

The Trailer park boys would never be allowed on American network televison.

Since Canada is a tolerant enough country to allow this show to exist with out censorship, I wonder what over great show thrive on Canadian tv?


Since we live in the age of high speed internet, I have been able to keep up with every episode of the trailer park boys some times a day late.

This is the only place where I interact with Canadian people.

So my Canadian friends what shows from the cold white north do you recommend?

What Canadian shows are hot now that are availible on Google video, youtube etc..?

i dont watch that much tv, the only suggestion i can think of is "just for laughs" . it's stand-up comics from canada, and i think from other countries too . very good stuff .

or are they like "Borat" and stay in character 24/7?

Im from Canada and Canadian tv sucks. Thank god were right above the states

My fondest Canadian tv memory is Degrassi Jr High. Old school though, 80's. Even though I do watch the new episodes, It's just not the same.

Caitlin Ryan, oh how I still love her.

Love the TPB too. Bubbles is who I want to be when I grow up.

For the most part The Trailer Park boys are not in anything else. Jonathan Torrens (J-Roc) used to have a crappy after school teen talk show called Jonnovision (I can't remember if thats how it was spelled). I don't know of anything else they are in. There is a Canadian show called Regenisis that I'm really diggin right now, it's nothing like TPB but it's Canadian and on par with any HBO show. (as far as censorship goes)

Someone said it earlier, for the most part Canadian TV is balls, but I think it's getting better...maybe I'm just getting older and have a different appreciation hehe.

Not sure if they act in other shows, but I know they stayed in character at an awards show when they went up to accept theirs

Such a funny show
