Gravity

Here's a little conundrum I've been mulling over this morning. Why is it that gravity caused the bottle I dropped in the kitchen this morning to land on my foot, causing much pain and discomfort, but the passion fruit plants I'm trying to train sideways on the trellis always want to grow up. Why doesn't gravity cause them to grow sideways along the ground? :)

"Tropism" is a tendency of a plant to grow towards something... plants display PHOTOtropism... growing towards light
GEOtropism... growing relative to gravity (how seedlings find their way out of the dirt)

Cannabis will always grow towards the light no matter which way you orient its stem -just simple training. If you want it to truly grow sideways, you're going to have to give only side light from one direction.

Some types of black hash seem to increase the effects of gravity... in my studies, anyway.
