The boys have signed a deal to start an videogame. It's supposed to be an inactive dead show, nothing like guitar hero. I hope it will have a shakedown area. Any ideas what the video game will like.

A Shakedown St came immediately to mind ...ya just gotta poke around ....always great intro . Plenty of clubs & alleys & venues off down that Shakedown St !

So much rich material to be tapped , need a miracle to incorporate it all ....too epic and all the great art, images & characters . WSJ article mentions Dark Star, Terrapin & Cosmic C... you could build your own "miracle show" .

This NewYears Eve still fresh in mind ...there will be no scoring acid in the parking lots in this game , lol They could have done this yrs ago & shud have ...heck the beatles had their own cartoon for awhile many years ago & Jerry would have been as loveable as Ringo .

Little more on the game developers Curious Sense....legend building .

Curious Sense has been granted the exclusive worldwide rights to develop online and mobile games with the legendary Grateful Dead.

“Grateful Dead has always looked for inventive ways to embrace new technology,” says David Lemieux, legacy manager for Grateful Dead. ”We’ve found a great partner in Curious Sense. They are lifelong Dead Heads who have some brilliant plans to take our fans on a very cool journey. We can’t wait for everyone to check out the fun new toys we are building.”

Never been into video games ... but i sure miss spring & summer tour in the 80s .... most fun & best drugs i ever found was traveling with the 'boys when they came east... sleeping at koa campgrounds up & down the ecoast was amazing... the fellowship sitting around campfires should definetly be part of this project/game.... peace all ..

Great ideas. Mouse's artwork should definitely be included. I like the thought of a multi level interactive experience, have an avatar be a fan, even a taper or vendor or a roadie.
Camping out and fluffing with the family. Negotiating in the lot, buying or selling tickets. T-shirts,veggie burritos I want it all.

Don't forget -->being off the Bus , or being on the bus .... ;)

Never forget running into cosmic charlie then John Barlow
over at the Old Kaiser's ...walked up behind John just as he
was loosing his footing for " some strange reason" was tripping &
falling over on the sidewalk ...was right there , swung my right shoulder
under him & gracefully righted him back up gently .

His wife was smiling ear to ear & laughing
when i smiled & said after righting him:

"take it easy old man , were not young as we used to be , its one step at a time now old fella "

was the funniest thing...John burst out in a big smile to cause it all was so
spontaneous . And he would have tripped over ...so lucky i was there .

* Mouse was showing me his latest work the other night , he's really wonderful
with painting women now from all over . Introduced him to a beauty the other night
and once again he got her number, wanting to pose for him . They all love him cause
he comes from a special space & his latest work is wonderful...he's a rare one .

Could be cool!!!!

They could make you try to make grill cheese sandwiches (or sell shirts) fast enough to make money to get doses and tickets into a show and make it to the next gig...maybe eventually earn enough money to upgrade to veggie pitas and buy a VW Bus. Shows could consist of a jam or two with crazy psyhedelics in the background.

Maybe the occasional miracle, the occasional bust and other tour realities could be included..

It'll prolly end up being weak though...:bump:

But lets not forget how epic some of the music was & the story lyrics ...this was the band that grew to proportions most people don't even realize the attendence records they set that might not be broken for some time even still .

The band that introduced the The Neville Brothers to widerspread audience & Bruce Hornsby...mickey introducing west african percussionist Babatunde Olatunji, they had ornette coleman , Branford Marsalis , Bob Dylan & so many others participate in their decades of surviving . There were so many many special nights , and in the end a band almost everyone loved for that .

The parts they played in a whole era of US history & the quiete benefits they helped to sponsor like SEVA etc . Mickey is now today on the board of directors of the Smithsonian in some capacity ...

And just watch those EC shows with Furthur sell out !

;):biglaugh:;)

A Grateful Dead video game being discussed in 2011 on a cannabis website, oh yes indeed, What A Long Strange Trip Its Been. Many Happy Memories To All:ying:

Madrus is right the music was amazing... even the shows where i was shut out...in the lot we danced ..smoked..drank...dosed... twas truely the defining point of my young life... the people i meet were the most humble..kind people i have ever meet ..even today...

I remember the shows where there was a 'buz stiring in the lot on what old tune might be featured.... just goose bumps even thinking about it now... man i miss those feelings :)

They need a straight festival game. No scoring acid in the parking lots, WHY THE HELL NOT?!

THINKKK ABOUT IT. You could have some home made Bubble, piece it out, trades for some cid, sell the shit outta it...BANK. Some bitches sellin nitrous in the corner??? ROB their asses! Cha CHING! You see some security guy on a golf cart, JACK TOWN! Drop some acid, goes into TRIP mode! Ohhh shit! Better hope you rolled your joints already!!!

Like GTA, but a fest....and you can win special players, like Jerry!

Am I fuckin' crazy here? I'd get a PS3 JUST for this game.

Sighhh, alas. Only cool in my head.
