Grapefruit macro

was given to a bud of the grapefruit as well as the congolese the other day and figured i would share a few shots from the grapefruit

well before i vaped it i decided to shoot this one last time.. and although i didnt get the uber clear shots i was looking for.. the colours were absolutely fall in maine style.. Enjoy

Here is the camera i used.. 5D mark III with a MPE 65mm canon lens and MT24EX dual flash also from canon and manfrotto legs and 410gearhead

amazing pictures you got there, do you used any additional light, or just flash?

how much would a setup like that set you back? i would love to be able to take photos like those.

well the Body is a 5D mark III and retails for around 4000 for the body.
the lens itself when i bought it was 850us plus 650us for the flash. The tripod was with legs and head was also around 500.
Of course you could get a cheaper camera.. not sure what a 60D or 7D sells for.. but im sure either of those would take a great shot with this lens and flash set up.

thanx for the reply. way out of my price range at present but i can dream! i really would love a camera and lens like that. macro photography is my fav and those shots are simply amazing.
