Romulan has a pleasant grapish smell... If you get the right cut. It might even qualify as a bit peppery as well, but it's been so long since I've had it. Didn't taste quite as grapy, rather earthy and slightly hashy if I remember correctly.
The grapish Romulan might be tough to come by though... I believe it is only spread in clone form. I have heard others refer to it as "Grape pheno Romulan" or "Grape Rom"... It is pretty potent. If you have sources for elite cuttings I'd ask around for the grape-ish Romulan.
I found a pic of it in flower, grown by Verite. looks nice.
Something more readily available you could try is Hashplant. I had a Hashplant mom that tasted so peppery on the aftertaste. hard to even describe it really... It was sort of like a strong lingering after taste on the tip of your tongue, very similar to what youd get after dabbing straight pepper on your tongue.
Best of luck finding what you want brother, best regards
cvs
I have a grape ape cutting that I have had in my garden for about a year now and while it does have a little peppery taste it is more of a hash/slight pepper taste. and the hash part being more domiant. I do have a great source for elite cuttings and while my guy keeps pusing the bubba kush cut on me I still want to find the perfect balance of a grape/pepper taste. Im gonna see if I can get that grapish romulan cut. Maybe I gotta do some breeding myself. Seems my people are all craving something peppery/grape.
Hey, OGorganic were am I gonna find that URKULAN cut?
The most peppery strain I have ever had the pleasure of smoking is a nigerian landrace strain that I grew out myself in Amsterdam. I simply found a small little pepper black uncrushed seed in some pressed nigerian I bought at a favorite coffeeshop that always has two kinds of nigerian on the menu. I put the seed in a two gallon pot of very good earth w/ kalong guano on my porch in late may and she went 14 feet tall purple black color and in addition to the pepperyness she also has a real distinct hazey/spicy flavor as well. One of the most tasty aroma's ever. Like the best inscence I have ever smelled. She makes most hazes taste like Indica(now Black & gold 14 week haze is a differsent story). Also one of those surprising sativa creeper highs.
Now I only have to cross it to a grapey strain like ya'll be wukin'
This is when she was taken in on a stormy day, she is in the Background on the right.

She had to have a wieght tied below her top so that she would be bent in half and I could lean her forward to bring her from the porch into the living room on cold/stormy days:
The stem you can make out running down what looks like the top is actually just where she is bent over toward the camera!@#%^*!i!i
Towering over amsterdam west sunset in late august-
bottom branch of the Nigerian getting the late afternoon sun in sept and I let her go to Dec!
This show's one of her offspring refusing to fit in a small space with her cousin's despite almost no veg time from seed and constant supercroping(she was moved soon after this pic was taken:
Scrappy that plant looks exactly like one of the phenos I had out of the S1's. Man those were the best freebies I ever had, got 10 for 10 females. Mine all yielded very good, wish I had kept my deep purple plant to play with. Do you still run any?
grandaddy purple smells like artificial grape. not very peppery though. i've never had the two flavors together, although burnt matter generally has some black pepper-ness to it...
