Hello all I am looking into buying some new seeds and was very interested in Grape Ox by Rare Dankness. Or any other strains by them. But I can't seem to find any info on it other than the sight postings. Anyone else ever grow this strain? just looking for the general info. thank you

Hey doobieshadows ,

I've grown out moonshine haze from rare dankness with og ghost train haze#1 up next from rd.

Some moonshine phenos were done flowering in 77 days with one going 100 days,

Yeild was ok I have had better with other haze hybrids but the flavour was really special.

I have clones of my favorite two phenos which I'm currently vegging ready for flower in the next 6/8 weeks
I have some pics on my folder under rd moonshine if you would like to see some photos

Thanks
GA

Found your thread while doing the same search, doom. Liked the sound of GrapeOx too. Just a little bit ahead of you. Seven of the nine here are Grape Ox, one is 4 Corners Kush (a freebie RD bag seed!) and the little one is an ancient seed at least 15 to 20 y.o. (about a week behind the others)

Beginning of day 12 under the lights; they spent their first day above ground in a sweat box.

4 Corners is to the right of the little guy and on the left in the close up.

So not that anyone really gives a crap :tumbleweed:, but I transplanted these Rare Dankness Grape Ox & Co. seedlings this afternoon, day 13 under the lights. Seems to be a strain without much info, so curious if it's worth a grow journal. Not a complete newbie, but damn the world has changed since the last time I sprouted seeds.

I for one am interested tumbleweed. I've got a pack of the blue ox in the wings ... please do post your plants and I'll post mine when they hit - would be an interesting comparison of RD offerings.

Hey, Rabbit. Blue Ox or Grape Ox was a tough call, both sounded tasty. Grape said smaller plants which sounded good since this is my first ever soil grow and first grow period in way too long. Also read the potency was super strong so figured even if they are only 70 or 80 percent of max should still be a good buzz.

Plants looked a little shocked after transplant last night, but recovered nicely overnight.

Repotted from 1.4 pt pots to roughly 2.75 qt pots. I decided to use these for first transplant because I had them on hand and because I could keep the plants much closer together under the 400 w HPS. My hope is to keep them in these through the beginning of flowering so I don't have to repot the males into the final 5 gal pots I am using. Hoping for six females out of the 9 plants. Probably a bit over ambitious for my flower shower, but will give it a go. First pic is right after transplant, 2nd shows the recovery by this morning, 3rd shows the third set of true leaves forming up nicely. Today is day 14 under the lights, plus first day above ground in humidity box.

Started seedlings in peat pots (actually coco pots first, but switched them after 12 hours to peat pots as I had never used coco before and didn't want to screw up the seeds). Once either tap root came out the bottom or seedling was out the top they all went into 1.4 pt pots with bag to bag mixture of OF and HF supplemented with about 7-10% EWC. I mixed that with about 30 - 40% perlite for starting mix. Second transplant soil also has dolomite lime, and both bone and blood meal added in addition to more EWC and again is mixed with about 30-40% extra chunky perlite before potting.

Sorry MHBGuy; don't know how I got your handle mixed up with tumbleweed....

Good luck with those ... definitely a broad leaf indica starting there. Can't wait to see how they work out.... I'm looking through several similar styles of plants right now.

If you don't mind an unsolicited suggestion, I'd back off slightly on the nutes for a bit, just based on the look of the plants. I could be wrong, but they look a little over fertilized there. Could be some transplant reaction as you say, but a little over fert would be my guess. I'm sure they'll be fine though.

best,
rabbit

Glad to hear thoughts and suggestions, Rabbit, and no worries on the name. I answer to pretty much anything. Just don't call me late for happy hour.

Have not been adding any nutes; really would prefer to do it soil only. Have noticed a little leaf curl and a bit of a leathery texture on the first single leaves, but that plant is actually the most developed plant.

Curious as to what is catching your eye?

Posted last from phone and not sure I was clear.

I meant that I wasn't adding anything beyond what was being derived directly from the soil mix. Seedlings in peat pots went into FFOF/HF + EWC mix and then yesterday the same mix plus a small amount of lime and equally small amounts of bone and blood meal.

Have read both good and bad about using FF soils, but for first soil grow they seemed like a good option for getting the process started again. Perhaps they are a bit too hot for the seedlings, so next time will mix ahead of time and let them mellow a bit.

Trying to keep it pretty basic, and haven't formulated a final plan for additional nutes, if any, at this point. I figure I have at least two or three weeks before I switch to 12/12. Lots of reading yet to come.

Thanks, Patsfan. Does subbed mean subscribed? I didn't start this thread, but I imagine DoobieShadows will pop back in at some point.

Thank you, patsfan420. Pretty basic set up, but seems to be working OK so far.

They are standing taller this morning and branching nicely underneath.

Been a while, but growth rate seems pretty impressive to me.

I meant been a while since I had a grow, sorry about that. Sprouted on April 30th and went under lights on May 1. So day 16 above dirt today.

I don't have a thread of my own going, but was thinking about starting one. Will shoot you a message if I do.
