Grandoggy Purps (Regular)

I bought a few packs of Connoisseur Genetics Grandoggy Purps a few years ago. Just got around to popping some as I've been asking my friend for a nice purple cut (Lavender or that classic Purple) and have not received it. So I popped these to make something happen.

They're currently around day 40. Some have had bananas they've thrown. One had over 20-30 I pulled from it, while another had 3 or 4. The rest have all been pretty stable as far as I can tell. Those will get removed and I'll choose which ones to keep depending on how they finish. I'm keeping a close eye on all of them or I would just pull the most troublesome plant.

I have another thread where you can see what else I'm growing. This will just be to share the pics of these and the finished flowers. Mostly to give people an idea of what to look for, look out for, and what they might find.

These are being grown organically in vermifire soil.

The rest are starting to come along. There are a few that are looking like the GDP we used to see. Lots of them have very appealing profiles. I'll grab pictures over the next few days. This one(the #5) will be the first to finish and was also the most appealing out of the gate.

A few have thrown bananas. I'm not sure why exactly. I could speculate but I won't since it really doesn't make a difference at this point. I'll be getting rid of those plants and their backups. This applies to the ones that are being tested in a second smaller batch which is already underway. To be clear they have thrown them in the midst of the flowers and not as hanging clusters. Still there have been enough for it to be an issue. They are not unique enough to keep, so they're out.

the chem genetics do throw out some hermies every now and then especialy if the room is not dialed

Hey OJD. I never got back to this thread, but I think I figured out the issue.

The new spot was in a location where the water got really cold. Like 45-50 F. I had never had that issue before in the bay area, where things tend to be more temperate. I suspect that was the reason for the issues. Just didn't want people to think the genetics were suspect. I still have a pack of these and look forward to popping it again.

Hope all is well, and look me up if you ever make it out west to Oregon. Would love to burn one down.
