grandaddy purple ebb & flow tent grow

hey guys!!! im ready for my first taste of hydro ,ive done 2 soil grows and now its time to move up and try hydro.i got 30 grandaddy purple clones from grass roots in s.f. and i gotta say i was dissapointed with the quality of clones there selling now ,i briefly looked at them in the club but not long enough to realize they were barely rooted with alot of unhealthy leaves .kinda my fault but they shouldnt be selling them if there not ready.so there start was a little rough .im using lucas formula with flora nova bloom and the nutes stressed the clones for about 6 days probably due to minimal roots but theyve pulled through and ended up getting vegged a little longer then i wanted (3 weeks) wanted to veg for 2 weeks.so heres some pics currently in day 16 of flower.

and heres my current mother plant project ak-47 grown from seed ,cloning myself is my next step in growing

Looks good! I'm running the GDP as well. I picked up some clones in Santa Cruz off CL and the guy who sold them to me told me they had been veggin for weeks. I got them home and found they had been taken while deep in bloom so I had to wait a few weeks for them to revert! Sucks when you don't get what you wanted, but then again at least we can pick up clones here.

ok heres an update im at day 32 so 28 more days to finish.plants are lookin good smellin good to and gettin chrystaly.ive been using flora nova lucas formula and adding fox farms beastie bloom and botanicare sweet to bump ppms up to 1500-1600 range ph holds pretty steady at 5.8 .had to throw 6 plants out due to over crowding . so heres a few pics.

ok heres my latest update its been a while currently at 51 days gonna take them to 60 days.there all very purple and very frosty. so heres a few of them enjoy.

Nice Tent....

Nice Tent....

Wow.... No foolin around... 1,000 watts in what I take is the DR150. Looks spectacular.

I'm sure this thread will be attracting a lot of views in the not too distant future.

If you wouldn't mind, I'd love to know what you are running for ventilation to keep temps in check. Maybe even a few pics as a bonus. haha

The reason I'm asking, is not simply out of personal curiousity, but also, to allow new members to avoid potential pitfalls while providing them a solid foundation to grow from.

In any event, I congratulate you. It certainly appears, as if you have your garden dialed in.

As for myself, I plan on a DR240 Wide.

Essentially a 4 x 8 secret jardin tent with a 400 ceramic metal halide on one side and a 600 HPS on the other. I'll be running two tubblers with six plants per tub. One tubbler per light. Exhaust will be with a S&P 6" pulling air through can 33. Plus another 6" Soler & Palau (S&P) blowing through the two (hoods/reflectors) and out to a cold air return in a basement.

It may be a different set up.... but its nice to have variety isn't it?

Thanks for the posts. I'll definitely be following.

i would go with either 2 600s or 2 1000s in that tent ,right now im pullin cold air from outside into tent keeps temp rite at 75 when lites are on in summer i use portable a/c to cool .i also use 2 seperate fans for lite and carbon filter.i cant smell anything until im rite next to tent.

dude thats like buying a big ass ford super duty quad cab duelly witt ultimate tow hitch, but only giving it a volkswagen 1600cc engine to power it.

Rock the 1000's, get a nice power 6" exhaust fan (hooked up to an odor sock or Can Filter), take the heat and serve the 'zoids

well heres the pics of the whole table i promised .rite before lites came on day 53.yield doesnt look like its gonna be all that great but oh well lol.

That stuff is bomb! GDP takes some practice to get to yield. Did you keep moms from the ones you removed? Keep at her and she'll make you happy.

straight run dude......l love the gdp all the way over here east too...........got a quick question.....your using a truncheon meter correct for PPM/EC?

when you say you are rocking them at 1600ppm what EC is that on ur meter if you dont mind? or better what conversion are you reading .5 or .7

sick grow dude.....i've been taking those huge fans off early to let light get to the bottom and beef up those lower buds....you need all the weight you can get with the purp strains. Smoke is so good the smaller yield and slower growth is worth IMHO. you are killing it with ur 4x4....

yes im usin the truncheon 1600 at the .7 conversion never saw any ill effect of raising the ppms that high lucas formula calls for 1350 so i bumped it up a little to see what would happen.
