my 1st run from seed with the doggy purps ran very well, it scored hi marks all across the board except in yield.
3 pheno's in 3 gallon bags with a long 10 wk veg.
and the yield was nothing to get excited about

I hated to do it because it was so good and everyone loved it but I had to let it go even tho I took 3 clones of each.
when i started the 2nd run i was short of plants to fill the bloom room so I tossed in the 2 best yielding doggypurps.

they have turned the whole gamne around in clone,
the clones are nothing like the seed run,
its like nite and day!!
here's a few pics

here's a pic of the other pheno
her resin heads are already getting milky white

they are at 51 days and this nice chunky cola got a burst
of new growth
looks like were gong to have a bit of foxtail going on with this run... :joint:

someone told me a few months ago if you have a plant from seed and she soesn't quite cut it but has the potential to run it again from your clones and you may see a difference.
sage advice,
I wish I could remember the very wise IC member told me that :smoke:

I can smell it through the screen.

its nice ta have smell-o-vision, eh Cmobile :smoke:

the doggy purps have a wonderful potpourri of aroma's to offer and are a bit unique in the range of aroma's,
much like a fine wine.
early on its a sweet hashy candy smell that evolves more as it ages to a more slightly sour/fuelish undertone but still retaining the sweetness. the older heads all loved this one for the flavor and quality feel it produced.
this one will definitely be run again in the garden and be
re-evaluated, much to the delite of many of my friends! :joint:

a big thanks to whom ever it was that told me to run
my clones again after the seed run :smoke:

if you scrapped doggy, what did you keep?

listen to your friends more

stop listening to yourself

you have such a killer collection of beans

your judgement is not as developed

and its on mediocre buds

its a done deal! I'm keeping both pheno's.
cut some testers down @ 53 days and they are both top shelf!
taste is a 10 on both
#1 potency is an 8 with a nice day ender buzz
#2 is a solid 9 and a great day smoke
now that I got the weight up in the clone run this is going to become a favorite real quick having day and nite smoke and both with the superb taste going on

i'll give it one more week max, were @ 57 days now.
as soon as they're all milky its chop time ;)

even tho this one has been available for a while CSG did it again
and can't recomend this strain enough so if you've been thinking about picking this one up, just get it!

I don't even flower seed plants anymore....clone'em and runem! Clones are always a bit different from the original IMHO.

sorry jackal,
i got so busy with harvest and my hps-Mh thing with my secret recipie I forgot all about posting about the GDPs,
let me tell ya, it scores high all across the board in everything!
taste and hi... people keep telling me how good it is.
I'm about to run out its so in demand!
people just can't seem to get enough of it!
it was a wise decision giving it another chance and run it again.

hey chain,
i had 3 pheno's from 3 seeds, all were absolute class A herb, only difference was yield so I dropped #3 and kept the other two.
no regrets and you won't either i would say :joint:

Grand Doggy Purple , so sad to lose this strain.

Grand Doggy Purple , so sad to lose this strain.

I had it and after a summer of harsh luck in the garden I am seeking her again. This was some good smoke.
